Hey Lee, is it just me, or does it look like the inner upper teeth looks longer on the real predator? they really looks like fangs.
The lower inner teeth also needs to be bend a little.
Predator2_32.jpg

Also, I still think there are some thing about the lower mandibles, dont know if you need to bend them more ?? Still, it looks really good, and very accurate, but I still belive you could do it 100% accurate and not 99%

The teeth will be made from sculpey like wolfs before i mold them, so they will take a final shape then, all the teeth are literally thrown in the mouth.

As i said im doing my take on the beasty, if i was wanting this to be totally accurate id have scrapped it as theres alot wrong

and id still say this was only around 65% completed .

At present im texturing his forehead, and his left cheak has been done to the same level as his right.

Have to say man its looking great so far, can't wait to see what its like when its finished. Not a fan of the P2 really but with all the P2'ness going around lately I will have to get back to keeping an eye here

The beauty about doing previous versions of Predator means you can probably belt through making the P2 at a greater rate.
Mind you, your Wolf is going to take a bit of a beating as it is one of the best I've seen. Paint job and dreds certainly made it stand out from the crowd.
New build looking good once again.

Its a shame Work stops you working on your hobbies and spending time with the family eh

I think i peaked with wolf myself hehe, kinda sad if im never going to get better than my 3rd pred sculpt, but it will not be for the lack of trying

im slowly warming to the P2 head, and im finding more i like about it, compared to a week ago where i JUST kept seeing flaws.

Again thanks for the thoughts.

In all honesty mate, this is still early days for your P2 and my personal view is it's turning out better than your Wolf....You've got the basic shape and forms there and the mouth looks like it'll rip your throat out...Just keep doing what your doing, ie taking your time and working things out slowly. You knows where I am buddy if you feel anyhting niggles and you want a second opinon.

Maverick118 is right in saying about it being early doors yet. Each artists last piece of satisfying work is the fuel that drives us on. All credit to you for driving faster than most of the Lair members.

I hope to get get back to my projects soon once my new garage gets completed. I've also got a smaller side project on hold too that I intend posting once I've made a few additions. I'm hoping it looks good enough to share with all the guys.

Best of luck with the P2 detailing.

ooooooooooooooh smaller project hmmmmm, do tell

The only down side of me making these is the room it takes up, we do not have a garden big enough to accomodate a shed nor a garage. so my molds are now encroching on my games room ( where weapon wall is )

next house HAS to have a BIG double garage for me

ive had alittle go at the forehead detai but i think ive done the pattern to uniformed, i finished nights this morning at 07.30 im about to have another coffee now as ive been up since 11am sunday , then ill try to get the pattern sorted.

I think i peaked with wolf

I think personally you have just started to tap into your natural ability bud,,,

not many people have done the kinds of pieces you have...

every single one gets better and better...I glad to be witness to evolution of you as an artist.

totally mean that in a non-ass kissing,... knowing i'm getting one kinda way...

I wanted to add that it's a well-known fact that an author's second book sells worse than their first.

Just because this is your fourth mask doesn't mean it should be better than your previous work, especially when this is a whole new venture. Think positive and look at your other three pieces to encourage yourself. I personally loved my second book, but it's not selling like the first, so I sometimes have to step back and read #2 to remember why I loved it most. Sure, there were flaws, but you learn from them and move on.

The mask looks sick bro and I wouldn't even know what to do with myself if I could do something like that. Truly amazing and I'm sure the final product won't be at all disappointing. I think the problem is that you're honing your skills so much that you're noticing the minute details that you may not have seen early in your design career. I notice a lot more "-isms" of how I write now than I did when I first started...

Well i got annoyed with the forehead so ended up doing most of the havey detail all over the head, i was going to take a photo of the rear of his head but i ran out of battery power ggrrrr.

so ill keep that for the final pictures along with a photo from above.

i think i have to do just the subtle stuff now, and the mouth, then its pretty much done.

i took the last photo because, well it makes him look scary

hope you like how its progressing.

Textures look great for a start mate, just do a few more passes with your tools and you'll be onto the final finisihing. If you want to give it that extra zing, I find when doing the final pass and smoothing everything back...Buffing the piece with baby/talcum powder really does the trick. Keep on keepin' on mate this is a corker

this is quickly turning into your best piece dude.

you say that you peaked with your wolf.... it was amazing but i think your only just starting dude. Can't wait to see this piece finished and what is in store for us in the future. Keep it up dude!

Holy ******* crap on a stick!!! **** me in the ass and call me Mary - Lee you have GONE AND DONE IT AGAIN!!!! ****! Sorry for all the french, but holy **** that looks good! DAMN!

Lee you better shut the hell up and stop saying **** like "I peaked when I did the Wolf" and "I'm not as good as other people who do this all the time". That is your ass talking right there and you better smarten the hell up or I'm coming over the pond and sticking my foot so far up your ass that people will tell you how bad my feet smell when you talk!!!!

You may not sculpt the same as Wang, but then again you never will because you are Lee - NOT Wang. Your style is your own and wil never be duplicated. You did a P1, Wolf, and now the P2, and your work just keeps getting better and better. Practice makes perfect and your work is a prime example of that.

DAMN that looks good!!! I just scrolled back up and took a look at em again and the detail is awesome! The vein on the cheek, the pattern on the forehead...****! That **** looks good! Sorry for all the swearing but **** - you got mad skills duder!

Thanks for the thoughts and threats

I do not know if its just me but ive spent the best part of a hour looking at predator2 pictues and scrolling though screencaps, but to me ( possibly/probably wrongly ) P2 does not seem to have a huge amout of skin texture, so i think the final few runs of detail will have to wait until i can be sure of what i am doing.

I think ill finish off the mouth and neck in the next few days, whilst i try and find some good reference for the rest of his upper head.

lookin good, like u say the last pic he looks mean!!!!

love the detailing, around the dread holes and crown etc looks fab man!

well done so far!
