Predator Vs Wolverine

With the release of the film in a couple days, I figure it's ok to post a few pics and share some of the production.
First, many thanks to Aaron and crew at Bat in the Sun for including us in this film. This is different in many ways from other fan films as this character is a result of The Hunterslair team effort, we can all be proud of this representation of our character. Personally I think this short film is one of the best, but I am biased....
I can't tell you how many times during this entire "adventure" I wanted to just say NO, can't do it, not possible, etc., but I learned sometimes you just have to go for it.

You will see some amazing stunts and action, they were all done by Jamie Hall and Jonathan Carroll and they have the bruises to show for it, as well as some crew members falling from trees.... I was amazed how stunts, fights, etc were practiced a few times and then "action". Jamie in particular, having only walked a couple hours at Monsterpalooza in a suit before this...outstanding! I hope we see much more of him in the Predator, I've seen all the films, several preds at Comic Cons, halloweens, etc, but when he put the suit on it actually looks alive in the way he moves. I'm sure he could make any suit look great, it was a privilege to see him bring ours to this level of life. He was in the suit 8 hours a day, with alot of action, in and under water, etc... I honestly did not think the suit would last much more than a few hours of the first day filming, so much to my surprise it made the entire 4 days of shooting, and even resurrected at Comic Con last month.

One thing I realize from all this is ANY of us can potentially make a good, high quality fan film, the equipment is not that expensive, the technology in CG, effects and editing are available to the average person. We certainly have the film quality suits, it's just a matter of organizing a group to do it.
I have hundreds of photos, here's a few

Was such a blast to be a part off....Jamie and Johnathon bring a lot of life to these iconic characters. The raw footage was beyond amazing, can't wait for the finished product.

The fact that the man in the Predator suit is related to the performer that brought our favorite Hunter to life is mind blowing.  The lair is truly a place where the Predator will live on, even if Hollywood can't get it right again.  Amazing costumes.  Looking forward to the BitS release, as usual.  Everything they do is excellent.

How tall is Jamie? He really fits the role of the Predator. He should carry on the legacy and keep the Predator role in the family.

I love watching the bat in the sun super powered beat down videos.  I had no idea that the lair was involved in the project.  Thats super awesome and a big congrats to all who took part.  Cant wait to watch it.

Was not really crazy about some of the sound effects that was used for Jamie, but over all I thought it was well put together the fight scenes was very well done. I just feel bad for the cannon and backpack though poor thing had a good run. I'm glad that the gauntlet still worked for the final scene though. Don't think it was not possible with out it.

AMAZING! i loved it! I like how you put a super pred's noise for the predator. Didnt have the ending i thought but that was great! Good job!!

It sounds like the Falconer of Predators

That was excellent!!!!!

Though, being the costume nuts we are, I kept noticing the bottom of the Pred mask coming out from the neck seal a few different times towards the beginning.

Yeah the neck of the mask was short, but unlike most of the public I don't think it would be noticed as much.

Good observation! Yes that was a pain in the ass, but the undermask was something i was going to throw out and used last minute. It was a total last minute deal again, but im very happy with it all. Really awesome to see the positive comments, thanks!
