I am using cardboard. How would I do the dome? My past works with the dome always turned out it me just putting lots of creases un it. But I won't it to look legit

Are you putting resin over the cardboard? If so you can always put bondo or body filler over the entire mask and sand it to smooth it out and you won't see the crease lines. Check out NeXXt's Wolf bio build, use that as a guide as to what you can achieve using paper or cardboard.

This is whatI've made so far

Why don't you use a piece of craft foam over the cardboard slits or creases in the dome part?  It will add a smooth shell ontop of the lines.  It's what I did for my little girl's bio.  If you go to the thread you can see the cuts in the bio frame I made and then the finished smoothed out dome after I heated and molded a thinner craft foam over the cut pieces.  There are a bunch of tutorials on YouTube but here's the link I used to get the concept.  She heats the foam with a heatgun and molds it over a ball, but you can just do what I did and heat it over a stove and smooth it over your bio dome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hj-WC35cxgs

Here's the link to my little ones build so you can see the steps of her bio.  http://www.thehunterslair.com/topic/30932-kaylas-mini-build-photoshoot-up-last-page/?hl=%2Bkayla%26%2339%3Bs+%2Bmini+%2Bbuild

You have a great start on it.... Keep up the great work!

So I traced a plate and cut it out. I then cut I in 3 tiles. I used a table and gave them a curve. I hot glued them which left me with it raised. Then I used the same plate, cut out the rim and there we go. Not the best work, but it's as good as I can do now.

Fiberglass would take years and years to break down. Think about it this way... boats are made from the stuff.

What is it you're trying to accomplish?  Are you wanting to smooth it out, or are you just wanting to make it more rigid?  If you're trying to smooth it out, bondo is your best (cheapest and most readily available) option.  If all you're wanting to do is make it more rigid, coat it 3-4 times in fiberglass resin (available at Lowes, Home Depot, any auto parts store, even Walmart has it).  The pep guys will tell tell you resin is the way to go.  The basic process goes like this...

-create your base model, ie your bio helmet
-give it a good coat inside and out to stiffen it up
-use fiberglass cloth inside to make it as rigid as possible
- add bondo (or some other sort of body filler) on the outside of the mask to shape and smooth it.
-finish with paint, or whatever you have in mind.

My advice is to do a google search for 'how to finish pepakura'.  There's tons and tons and tons of info and video already out there that will guide you step by step through the process.

So i was thinking: if i cut out the following shape out of cardboard, and glued the dark lines together, would it give me a semi flattened cone shape? Would be good to know really

Using that shape you'll find you get a much sharper cone, instead try drawing a small circle then a larger circle around it. Then starting from the border of the smaller circle draw angled segments every 60 degrees around going outword to cut out and rejoin. This shape will give you a more gradual depth and the flat spot in the center you can always build up with bondo or epoxy once you are ready to start finishing it
