Predator Mask And Blades Help....

Hi all new to hunters lair xo will say hi to all . I have a quetion to some of you predator gurus .. in by no meens a noob to predator and have made a predator costume with working anamatronic sholder cannon using the wii nunchuck mekanisum mounted in the mask wich realy looks the business and my sute is quite close to screen accurate . But what I want as the blades to go in and out to and the mandables to move open and close aswell and want to know from some one if thay know a good or have found out a good efective way to do it ... thanx and help would be grate .. going to use it for uk comicon this year so just trying to get it all sorted and ready ... .. plus need a good predator name for him to ..

That's a good question! Unfortunately there is still no totally effective way to achieve this on a budget. The best way is still a complex animatronic remote system. There was a pully system using wires and a fibre glass under-mask that moved with your jaw that some one here tried to develop but as far as I'm aware it was only semi-successful (there is a youtube vid that demonstrates this I saw it a few days ago). A fully internal working mandible system is still an illusive holy grail.


This is the infamous 'Grusderk' system, it kinda works. But it is dependent on how well your face fits into the mask. I'm sure there are people on here who knows how it works. But I know some people were dubious of it's effectiveness.

I'm pretty certain the grusderk method was dangerous because you had wire under tension close to your eyes

Have a read through other members builds as well, might give you some inspiration

I think the problem with moving mandibles is slush latex isn't great for moving parts due to it's rigidity. To do it properly it would need a fiberglass core with foam latex skin. Pretty much how it's done in movies.

ill consantrat on my wrist blads for naw then he he .... .any one know any where to get a working blade gauntlet on in a p1 stile mold form ..
