Power Ranger helmet.

Ive been lurking on therpf for about a year now. So i figured it was time to post my first thread. I'm currently working on a few things. My wife asked me this past Halloween if I would make her a Power Ranger Helmet for next year. So as of right now I have the Pink Ranger Helmet peped and one coat of Resin on it. Still need to Print and Pep the Green helmet and Shield. Also working on a Halo Assault rifle and a iron man helmet. I will try and make to take a lot of pictures but i have a bad habit of forgetting to. Ive looked around and can't seem to find a Pepakua Green Ranger Shield File anyone know where I could get one?

I would say go the foam mat route for the Green Ranger shield personally, the actual costume seemed to be foam covered in gold material I think you'll get closer to this look with foam and paint than a full pep and you'll also save a ton of time and money.

There is a pep file out there as I've seen images etc but never been able to actually find it as the site that hosted it no longer exists:

I did find this template for foam on rangerboard a while back when I was looking to build one.

No problem, forgot I'd edited the template into individual ones before Halloween when I thought my Ironman costume wasn't going to be very practical:


Cool pink Ranger helmet by the way, I may do a pep build to replace the foam one I made my wife for this Halloween eventually.

I'm the one who made the template for the foam shield on Rangerboard. I also made templates for each individual piece which can be printed full size. If you want a copy just send me a pm.

Quick update finished the Green ranger helmet pep. was a little harder than i expected but t turn out OK i think. Bondo will fix it. Hope to get some resin on all these helmets today.

Hi, i hope some one can help me out. I've made a pepakura helmet and done all bondoing and fiberglassing. The trouble I'm having is that how to hinge the helmet. If i should use a regular hinge or something else.

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I plan on using a motorcycle visors for the helmets if that doesn't work then I will try and figure out how to vacuum form it.

I saw a YouTube video of a green ranger helmet and the guy fiberglass the hinge at the top. That's what I plan to do as well.
