I don't have a faceshell. I just curved the lenses by hand and then glued them to the mask. Only thing underneath the fabric is my regular mug.

I wonder if it would hurt anything for me to do the same thing you did, but put a faceshell under it..... I'm thinking it probably wouldn't hurt anything.
Why do some people magnet their lenses onto their suits instead of just gluing them? so they can replace them?

Haha, thanks! I also couldn't get a hold of one before the suit arrived, so that was a pleasant surprise.

Yea, that would be fine, I think that's how a lot of people do it, like wallcrawler, and it looks great. It would probably be more comfortable, too, since there's no longer any pressure on your nose.

I think it's more so they're guaranteed a smooth interface where the lens frame meets the fabric. The movie suits have the eyes slightly recessed into the face shell so that the fabric dips underneath the edge and is held tight. With gluing it can sometimes pucker in places, and it's slightly easier for the edge of the frame to get snagged on something and rip loose. At least with magnets its simple to snap them back on if something goes wrong.

thanks for sticking up for my costume guys needed the boost today lol and i jut found a skyline and put my costume on it then decided as it was brooklyn bridge in the backgrounds id have gwen falling and gobiln up top
