post your spidey pics

Hey WicKeD, What do you mean you "get to work in it on a daily basis"? Are you performing as Spidey? If not, you should. You look great in the suit. I've been trying to reach Brad (Spidey4Fun) for a while now. I'm hoping to get my hands on one of his suits.

Cheers!
Kevin

Hey Kevin

Thanks for the compliment..... I work in a gym that has a play land for kids..... We host kids parties there and I make appearances as spiderman for the bday boy/girl...... I don't actually get paid for it, just means I get to throw the spidey suit on while at work and have it appreciated by people lol

I'd live in it if I could :p

Love this thread! There's a whole lot of good work out there. This is my Reilly Scarlet Spider, I went with a Raimi-movie inspired look rather than a comic look.

I'm excited to get started on my next one which will be the ASM suit!

Man that's all kinds of awesome! :) I really like your take on the costume, certainly has a realistic-feel to it.

Great Suit.

Are those wrestling or track and field boots?

That is freakin brilliant man!! Hats off to you. You definitely look like you've done the gym work to fill it out as well.

Welp, at least I like my suit. :lol
Oh yeah and one more question for you! do you have any pictures of you in your mask as well? I would like to see what the mask looks like with it (I'm sure it's awesome, i just would like to see what it looks like :) )

I just finished the mask up today! I didn't have the lenses done yesterday, but I was excited to share anyway. Here it is!

Now THAT my friend is a Spider Man mask :thumbsup
Cheers, brother, thanks! Lining everything up was driving me crazy, but it worked out in the end. I don't know how the hell people manage to line up a faceshell with the pattern and eyes, too, getting ONE mask on and put together was headache enough. :lol Especially since you're flying blind before you put the eyeholes in.

I think your suits AWSOME man ;)

@sp1derman, I DO have a pair of Markpoons shooters but haven't figured a way to attatch them yet. The ones I have on in the pics are made by MCL34N
my page shows them attached with magnets i taped the magnets to the shooters for some pics i cant bring myself to glue them lol i hope to get a mclean print at some stage for display

Thanks for all the great feedback guys, glad you like it! I'd love to tackle an ASM inspired symbiote suit eventually too, but one thing at a time.

Great Suit.

Are those wrestling or track and field boots?

Yes, these are boxing high tops by Rival (RSX Nitro). They're a black mesh with some red accents, the colours worked and I was too lazy to figure out another foot solution but I really like how they bring it together.

Found a Black Cat on Hallowe'en. Photo is staged though, ;-P

Found a black cat like just happened to run into her randomly? If that pic was staged she looks like she's really in character ;) good for you you dog!!

Yeah, I'm concerned about lining everything up when i start sewing as well... hopefully it will come out as i want! It looks really straightforward, as long as everything is lined up correctly.

I lucked out to have professionals do the sewing and will continue to do so for my other suits. These things are just way too complicated for my fumbling fingers to handle. :lol It was tough enough for me to just make matching mesh for my frames and align them.

Yeah, i've sewn some before, but never anything like this. But, since my print comes with an extra mask, i will start there and see how hard it is. I'm planning on getting a really high tech sewing machine so i can program in the type of stitching i want. I know there's supposed to be some sort of zig zag pattern to allow to stretch. But, like i said, with a few weeks, maybe even months, i think i will eventually be able to figure out how to put it all together :thumbsup

I like the lens shape more comic book than most. Nice work!
Not sure if you meant mine, but thanks if you did! :lol
The urethane frames came with the suit when I bought it, I just opened them out a little and added a double layer of white-painted mesh, curved and then slightly darkened on the inner side.
