Hey guys,
I have been sitting on this idea for, oh maybe, six years. I loved the movie Face-Off and thought it might be interesting to make some pieces from it.
I was able to find these face casts of John Travolta and Nick Cage. I wanted to throw this out there to push me to take this project on. (Aggh, dropped Travolta to take the pic and chipped it some).
Ideally, it would be pretty sweet to use these to cast latex masks. Since that is out of my skill level, I may have to use these pieces themselves (minus Travolta's teeth). I have to watch the movie again and see if I can find some screenshots, but I remember there is a "suction" device used by the doctors to remove the faces. It was my original intent to reproduce that item over each of the faces.
Anyway, I am looking for some advice. Particularly:
1. How to paint skin tone on a sculpture
2. Has anything ever been done like this before?
3. Anyone have any screenshots?
Thanks guys
