Plasti Dip on Fabric and sponge muscle chest?

Hello all

I'm working on a 1989 batsuit, I'd love to purchase a muscle suit but I'm working on a very low budget.

So, I found a black fabric and sponge foam muscle chest at my local costume shop. It's made by forum novelties. I was thinking, I could plasti dip this to make it look rubber like.

Has anyone had an experience with something like this? Does it sound like it would work?
