I've searched the forum and I've come up completely empty. I can't be the only one who really loved this movie and has dreams of building a life-sized Lightning McQueen, like the one at Disney. The first thing I was thinking about making is the "Piston Cup" trophy. Any thoughts or ideas?

I don`t think a Piston Cup would be all that hard to make.

I`d love to see it happen...

BTW...I loved the movie also. Some damn funny lines in it.

I JUST watched this movie for the first time and I loved it...and I am NOT a NASCAR fan.

Ka-CHOW.

i would love something like a piston cup =p

i thought cars was a great movie. hope to see somebody make this

I went to a car show a few weeks ago and they had the full size Lightning McQueen and Mater.

My son was blown away. A winston Cup would be cool.

"He did WHAT in his cup?"

:lol

It sure was a fun movie, the game's not bad too. I'd love to see the Piston Cup done :)

Cheers,

Kraig

I just spent 2 weeks airbrushing near lifesize pictures of most of the characters for a friends front yard christmas display. I'll try to take some pics of the finished product tomorrow and post a few.

This is a cool movie, my boys and I watch this every weekend they spend with me. The cup would be a cool project.

I am currently seeking plans or good pictures from all sides so I can start drawing up plans to build a mcqueen, not sure if I am going to make a static model or build somethign around a small car..

yeah make you a little tuner car for drifting...:rolleyes

Seems to be the only thread about that modelling.
My post will bump it a little bit, as I'm planning to build a 1:2 Piston cup for my 3 years old daughter.
Is ther anybody that could provide a .obj or papercraft file to give an hand on this project?
