Pics in Archived Threads

99% of images in Archived threads are missing, or just broken links for me. It's kind of frustrating when you're trying to learn something from a fifteen page long thread and the visual aids are gone. Am I the only one experiencing this problem or is this typical happenstance as threads get older?

It's not just you, over time linked images get deleted or moved, members change servers, etc.

When we switched forum software (and hosting companies) the links to the embedded images where also lost. The good news is that now when a thread is archived we have started attempting to copying the images as well so that we can keep the threads complete.

Ah, that's cool. Just to clarify though, there's nothing that can be done to remedy the older threads?

You could always get in touch with the member that posted the images and ask them if they still have them and if they wouldn't mind sending them to you.
