Im posting this on behalf of myself and PGHFETT...
PGHFETT has asked me to take over the molds for his barc trooper helmet.....
I am posting this so people know only because i already had someone who Ive had issues with before think they caught me recasting PGHFETTS barc helmet..
So this post basically is to tell everyone that i am not recasting the helmet so if they see me offering them up occasionally there is no confusion...
And PGHFETT said he would be happy to confirm this to anyone that doubts my word.....

I spent months working on Barc armor, and that helmet is amazing.

Speaking of your BARC armor... I'm still waiting on my set.

Looks great and thanks for being open and honest about what it going on with the molds. Nice to see someone coming forward like that.

i must say that its VERY close...

i must also say that the minute differances make the PGHFETT one look actually better than the CG one.

that was my least favorite of ALL the SW troopers old and new, but the way he sculpted it looks alot more menacing and less dopey looking, (no offense to those that love this design) the face and visor are more remanescent of the old biker scouts, doesnt have the squashed look and HUGE visor of the ep3 barc.

i like it... :D :thumbsup :thumbsup

Mike did a superb job on this... I worked with him alot while he was sculpting it because as any sculptor knows sometimes you get tunnel vision and dont see obvious asymetrical things or flaws...I also taught him how to make the molds and do the fiberglassing he has done I think one of the hardest helmets to do and he nailed it really well...
As for the size issue this helmet when I first saw one in person looked small but the odd thing is without a flip up face like most biker helmet this fits over my head and I actually have extra room and I have about a 7 1/2" hat size.
As for the vision issue surprisingly you can see fine out of the lense even though it appears to high.

Good to hear. I can see where it's been improved over the CG version. You'd think the folks at ILM would understand things like proportions...

Hello everyone,
Just had to say thanks to all the above folks who have commented on my BARC helmet . It is appreciated ...

I sculpted this helmet myself and painted it up. Below are a few pics of it. I passed this onto Jason (SGB) because I'm into this for "fun" reasons ;)

heres a few shots of a new one I painted up. I'm casting up the armor as we speak and my newest sculpt is going to be the Parjai / airborne EIII trooper. :)

Over and out

Hippo,

your helmet looks awesome, I belive it's your 3rd version?
I can only hope mine looks as good.

I no longer make the BARC buckets due to recaster issues made aware to me by others (aggravates me and takes the fun out of what I do). I'm doing the Parjai on comission for a friend.
I know we spoke about the BARC thing, but stuff developed where I no longer wanted to be involved in making them (see above lol). If you want drop me a email or pm we can talk more about it, seems you had the same problem as well.

LOOKS REALLY GOOD,
Has any one done the armor yet ????
BSN seams to be down..

I'm molding up the chest plate now and I'm 90% done with the rear/back plate in preperation for preliminary molding.

I'll drop some pics when painted up.
