PGHFETTS BARC TROOPER HELMET

I finished the final touches on the chest plate today and tomorrow I'll be laying on a nice thick and smooth layer of epoxy resin over the master in preparation for making the 2nd and final chest plate mold.
This FG chest plate will be able to be painted straight from the mold after minor trimming and a good wash ;)

The back plate/tank is almost ready for the first mold to me made :)

I'm also considering some minor chages to the tank greeblies, if I can find better pics...

Here is some pics I took a while back I didn't post :-/

Moving slowly along...

Here are a few pics of the finished chest plate with the base coat laid on ready for a final molding :)
After molding it up, I'm going to paint it and use it for the full size stand up model.
Any feedback is welcome good, bad or otherwise... ;)

The knee piece pic'ed below is preped and ready for the 1st molding. After pulling the preliminary piece it will be refined and the "indents" along the seam areas will be notched in as needed. Also, any refinement will be done at this stage as well. When it's all said and done, they will be paintable right out of the mold just like the chest and back plates (with some trimming on the edges)
After the piece is finished a final mold will be made of the finished piece.

p.s. the back plates first mold is done. - now to refine it :) - pics to come.

I know it looks big but when the helmet is on and the shoulder armor is on it looks much better. I'll get someone to help me tomorrow model the helmet, chest and back plate.
I had it on today and it looked good in the mirror from what I could see...
Here is some pic I used for proportion
I actually blew this pic up to size and used it as a partial template.

I took a few quick pics of the rear tank plate with the base coat of paint laid down and thought I would toss up a few pics here.
I also put the two pieces together with some tape to show how the two pieces will appear together.
I'm very happy that I accomplished three things with this armor. (1) I got that subtle curve on the rear plates lower section to turn out nice. (2) the rear tank will have that "rides high on the back" look and (3) the chest plates bottom angle and definitive way it rides just over the peck muscles.

Later when I get some velcor and elastic I'll put the armor on over a balck undersuit and with the helmet on, more pics later :)
