Hi everyone,

So i've been working on making a Pepsi perfect bottle for a while now, Ill hopefully get a thread started up soon about it.
But I am just wondering if anybody knows the accurate measurement for the flip up straw?

Its the only thing thats be swaying me size wise.

Thanks.

Well the straw on the Pepsi perfect seems to make the entire lengh of the bottle, I have a real SLICE bottle, and it measures 22cm in lengh, that would mean the lengh of the straw should be 22 cm :p

Also, the straw looks to be a hard straw inside, that would be quite cool if you could do this... For instead put a hard straw in, and stop it in the midle of the blue part (unseen), and use a flexible straw that you would attach to the lid, and that would fit in the hard straw xD! Do I make sense?

Actually I wonder if the flexible straw is not inside some sort of hard straw... I can see a double straw in the middle, what do you think?

Yup, you had the idea thought out pretty well.

I've gone with something a bit different on my replicas. I didn't trust the stability of that styrene piece.

Oh, I was talking about the little piece of styrene at the top. On my bottles I actually made an indent in the bottom of the straw holder and locked the hard straw into it. The bottom was held in place with a small piece of the tubing. I'll see if I can get a graphic together to show what I did.

Yeah that would be pretty cool to see ^^

Gary thanks so much for those photos, They are great! I am surprised at how close i was for small bit of styrene on the inside to hold the main clear straw on, i had only ever seen a glance of that part from an old photo I had seen of a bottle laying inside a car.

I know its a pain but would you mind measure the flip up straw for me on your bottle? I have been trying to take measurement from photographs for it but every time I'm getting a different reading, I've had so many different measurement for it i have sort of confused myself in what one could be right! :facepalm

I have one of Gary's bottles....
If I can remember tomorrow I will measure all aspects for you and PM them to you ;)

Yup, thinned out the collection a LOT last year. Too much stuff and too little space. Paying close to four grand for my set of bottles didn't help around the house either :)

WOW i would love a set of them bottles, i have heard lots and lots about your bttf 2015 bottles Gary (all good :D ) do you still make and sell them?
thank-u for showing them cool pics! :thumbsup

Nope. They are all gone and will never be done again. They were waaay too much work to be honest, especially when I had people complaining left and right that they were too expensive to begin with.

Yep he stopped making them :(
So these have become impossible to find.
It breaks my heart that I am letting mine go invite junk yard right now.
I thought I would hold on to it forever but....
The time has come to just move on with interests.
