Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Bike

No "Best Bike In The Whole World" category? Lol.

Pretty much done with the left side. I'm gonna redo the chrome tape, it seems to have lost some of it's stickiness over the last three years that I've had it. It's taking me awhile to finish my set because I'm only working on them between fiberglassing kits.

Just a suggestion, if you're wanting to have it look closer to screen correct, the foil only comes to the edge of the ribs on the side and not so high top and bottom.

Here is a pic of the BMA tank for reference. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1407854258.544340.jpg

Hope that helps.

Thanks man. I noticed that after I did it, but no big deal because it's gonna be coming back off when I have the time to do it better. I kind of threw it on there just for the pic for right now.

Nice shot of the oiler bag btw.

Got my saddlebags from Ryan aka Ruddigger yesterday and I must say that I highly recommend his saddlebags to anyone working on an X1.

Here's my first attempt at the guard, I used 18g steel. Not bad for a couple hours of work, just need to make the bracket.

Thanks Frank. That chainguard looks really good, what did you use to cut it out? I'm impressed with the speed in which your bike is coming together.

Thanks guys

How I got the guard shape haha

I used my jigsaw and bandsaw, cleaned it up a but with various files and pneumatic tools.

Welded and cleaned it up this morning before work. A quick pass in my sandblasted and minor bodywork and she's done.

I ended up shortening the guard a little from my drawing. Just trying to figure out measurements from pics I took of the Hollywood bike.

Haha yea I work fast guys, I got my tank in primer, I ended up welding up the horn button hole. On the other side I welding up a small piece of steel I tapped 6-32 thread in order to use another screw for the tank badge.

Wow! Your stuff is coming right along. Looks great! I can't wait to see this thing completely done!
