Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Bike

I think the front of your chainguard angles back a little too much, and the center frame skirt could be a little larger. Hard to tell from the pictures, it's definitely serviceable though. You are gonna round off the back of the chainguard right?

Hey Progun,

chopdirty.jpg

I did a little quick & dirty Photoshop compositing to show comparisons with the closest shot I could find that was fairly straight on like your shot. Had to skew the shot a bit to get yours & the Hollywood bike to line up closely (still doesn't line up exactly as you'll see from the springer), but you'll get the idea. Looks like the front of your chainguard doesn't actually extend far enough past the sprocket.

The fillet under the tank lines up almost perfectly, but the hole may need to be a bit bigger as well.

As for the rear skirts, the real ones have 7 thin slices & one large one, but yours only has 5 + the large one.

Hope this helps.

Finally I get to get back on here. Two weeks without a computer is way too long.

I just got back my brackets for mounting the tiger siren from my machine shop and they turned out great!!

I took a couple liberties with them, mainly by adding a grill for the speaker and making it look nice. The originals were so crappy that I had to make these look nice.

All of it is laser cut out of stainless steel. The base plate has been sand blasted to make paint adhere better and the bracket has been left natural so it will be nice and shiny next to the gooseneck. Needless to say I couldn't be happier.

I do have a couple extras if anyone is interested.

The speaker plate is an awesome mod. Planning on putting a sound system in there too? Can't remember if it was you or not, but someone had mentioned an iPod adapter a while back.

Really makes me think about ideas for my second bike. I'd love to see an X1 2013 model all teched out. Maybe an SD card reader with a video screen on the backside of the siren & down-facing speakers in the bottoms of the saddlebags. I could even fit a Raspberry Pi in one of them. Maybe run a red HDMI cable instead of a non-functional brake cable.

Ruddigger......Thanks. I dunno how it sounds yet. I haven't gotten that far, but that is where the original speaker was, so we will see.

Thanks for the pic Skillcrane! That helps. Yes, I will be rounding the back of the guard off once I figure out a mounting point. I could use one of those mounts, droid if you still have some. Thanks again

Got some things resized. Pics to come. What is the brand and type of brake lever again?

Also, could someone please take a high res, well lit pic, square on of the rear of the tiger head siren. I would like to get my vinyl guy to make me a decal of it. Thanks

Everything you need is on page 1 of this thread. C'mon guys, this thread would be 10 pages shorter if people would only refer to page 1 for most of their questions. Lol.

Saw that pic Rudd. It's ok for reference but when cropped it gets quite grainy. I was hoping for a high res specific photo of just the siren that I could have printed straight to vinyl.

You don't want to print anything directly from these pictures. The screen used stickers are in exceptionally poor condition. I'd redraw it if I were you.

Yes, if someone could take a nice closeup on a a white background I could have them printed on high quality vinyl. I can make more than one if others need them. I just need the photo to have it printed.

I think that is about as good as it's going to get without redrawing it. Those pics are hard enough to get as it is.

I have an extra mickey bell sticker to sell and if anyone is interested I can sell the mold for my top saddlebag. It should be useable for at least one more casting.
