Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Bike

Ive only ever found 2 4" mirrors, and I searched long and hard to find those. Great find! I should have my chain guard finished up today and tomorrow I'm taking my skirts in to get the brackets welded.

Yep.... The mirror is the last part I need also! It's like all the parts I have.. When you finally find one then you see then everywhere!

Frank - I'll take one too if you end up selling your extras. Is it easy to find a white replacement reflector that fits these mirrors?

The cheap rectangle mirrors with the two reflectors have the correct size. You can get those on ebay for 10 bucks or less.

Slow day at the office and got a lot of mock up finished! Working on getting the skirts all fit now.

Thanks Frank... All my parts are a lot rougher then I thought! When I get to the paint stage looks like I will be skim coating everything! It is all fitting well though...The OEM tank needs a lot of work! May had been easier to get the bicycle bones tank!

Brownie, if you can find someone to media blast the pieces (preferably something non-abrasive like nut shells), it would be way less trouble than having to peel the paint yourself. I got one of my bikes blasted completely down to bare metal before powder coating, & it saved me a tremendous amount of trouble. Only cost about $25 & took no time to get down to a blank surface. On the other hand, nothing like the satisfaction of sanding for 3 hours to get a tank clean. Haha

Haha!! I own a media blasting company so that isn't a problem. All the old stuff has a lot of dent so it will take a little work. I was a painter and body man for 10 years so I am super picky when it comes to that part! :)

Nice job Brownie! I've repainted the front bars of my fork with a proper chrome paint and it looks way better now!

Brownie,
that's awesome! Bet you are a pro at this stuff then. Picky is good when it comes to this project. I'm hitting the 1 year mark & still not complete. I've re-done so many things it drives me crazy.

Dalek,
The chrome paint looks way better than I would have expected. What did you use for it?

Dupli-Color Sandable Primer and Dupli-Color Chrome. It's not perfect, but it's much better than the strange silver one I had a while back. My pinstripe tape is coming next week, and I'm excited because that means I can finally do the clear-coat. Even though it will be a bit harder to do, I want to keep that tape on there nicely. I also took the time today to see how the back fender fit. It's a duckbill, but it looks nice nonetheless. At the moment I'm saving up for my rims, and it's an awesome deal! $53 for the set, and I'm getting from the same guy who sent me my super siren to gut for the tiger!

Hmm, need to try that out. I have a couple small parts that are rusty & need refreshing, like screws & bolts. Anything would look better than the *allegedly* chrome paint I used previously. Tried spraying the seat post a while back, but it just looks like a dull silver.

There is a timaya frosted silver at the hobby shops, it looks like original cad plating, i use it on parts that dont need to be chrome, just need to be clean looking.
