Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Bike

I rattlecanned everything, as you might have noticed, I'm going for accuracy, not prettiness. The pinstripes are 1/8" pinstripe tape.

Huh. I went out to walmart to get a tube for the ladies schwinn and they had automotive rustoleum. It's also on amazon for about $6 - $10.

Weird. Nobody out here is selling it anymore, besides the black and the white. I ended up ebaying it for more money because I need to finish my right saddlebag still. The amazon one had like a 2 month time to shipping.

Hah. Well here's a bit of an update on my frame:

The rim came off the women's cruiser. It popped so I had to replace the tube. Not a CMC rim, but has a nice look to it. More than likely going to purchase Heavy Duty rims later.

Made another frame insert today, got a little better curve on the longer ribs. The ribs on this one are held on with tiny set screws.

Man....you guys are making great progress!!!

Today I picked up some more parts from the machine shop today if anyone needs tiger siren mounting brackets or persons brackets.

I also got my frame insert piece put back on which I'm exceptionally pleased with.

Tomorrow the bags go off for final paint. Weeeee!!!!

Nice job Droid! Will you be including those brackets in your run of tiger sirens? Also, it's nice to see you coming to the end of your build.

Dalek.....they are available either with or without the siren. Whatever anyone needs.

Yeah... It's nice to be coming to the end of this project , although I have another exciting Pee-wee project this spring that I'm in talks to do, so I won't be quite done with it all.

Plus I'm thinking about doing a custom X1 next. That I'm super excited about.

That would be cool... Like a platinum edition! Would be cool to do a tiger siren that way too!

Welcome aboard Pen,
your flame has been lit at the most fortunate time, there are a lot of good people on this thread and several of them are geared up and making a lot of the hard to get parts right now, I missed the window when I started and missed out on all the parts, I'm sure you'll find some spare parts here, you're doing the right thing by reading the whole thread first, do your homework and learn what to buy the first time and you'll be O.K., especially if you're on a tight budget, enjoy your build, it's more challenging then it looks, depending on what level you want to take it to!

Thanks for the warm welcome billy b!!! I'm still on page 16 on this thread reading reading reading (I just started taking notes to reference the good stuff)... Yep, I'm going to read before I ask a question on this thread, as most questions are probably answered within the 125 pages...

Welcome Penetr8r, as youve noticed there is a dearth of knowledge in this thread, most of the hard work of identifying parts is done. My advice to new builders is always the same. Don't skimp on parts for something "close enough". You'll become unhappy later and end up spending more down the road. Do things right the first time around. My other piece of advice is to start with the harder to find parts, because these are not always available, so if you see them, get them! I'm talking about parts like the Super Delta Rocket Ray, Tiger Siren, Saddlebags, Skirt Guards, Chainguard, Mud Flaps, 4" mirror. The frame is pretty common, as is the tank and most of the other parts are easy to fabricate, even for those with little prior skill.

Good luck, keep us posted!

Ruddiger, thanks for the help so far, you are the shiznick man!!!

Welcome Penetr8r!

Thanks for the welcome turboF, BTW, nice oval window!!!

I got to work on the spinners. This is the result, just that I had to put that wheel back on to the fork cause when I looked at it it gave me a lot of satisfaction to see my build turning into something.

I'm going to get this laminated after I add some thickness to it. :D

Got this on ebay for a little over $10, I will be putting it inside the tank and attaching the 3 tank buttons to it. I put sound clips from the movie on it.

the music when he gets his bike in the morning
The music used for the credits
And Rusty saying "Aaaaaaction!" lol
