Painting a Mander Wolf - Step By Step

Wow, was great being able to see the wolf painted step by step. Was such an amazing job and inspiring to all of us who want to be able to paint up masks etc

Hello,

I know how you feel about your first mask. Beleive me my perfectionist side comes out quite often, but let me saw and agree with the other members, it looks really good for a first one. Personally I haven't painted a head yet, am looking at doing one soon, but when I do I hope my first turns out that good. Have any more advice for a new mask painter? Your wolf mask looks totally badass, excellent job.

Thanks Daren

I really loved that painting job on such an awesome wolf mask, very cool indeed.I'm starting my wolf suit, can only pray my mask ends up like that.By the way where can I get a mask like that, does it have a closed mandible version for wearing with the bio?sorry for the newb questions =\
Congrats that turned out really good.

That's a fantastic paintjob, man! I would've gone with just a yellow/white left eye for a creepier look, but I love how you overlapped it so you could still see the pupil! First rate apps.
BTW, I wouldn't be so hard on your first airbrushing work. That's actually pretty darn good for a first time, plus the detailing on the sides of the mandibles looked great.

Wow!!!That's amazing, and the fact that this is only your second time with airbrush! :D
I would be so pleased with myself if I can airbrush like your first mask.

Thanks for all the comments guys...I have a few more heads to work on and wont be using any Prosaide....just acrylic paint mixed with water so it should be a lot easier this time around.

I KNOW! There just isn't enough time in the day to get to all the things I want to!!! Hopefully tonight I can break my new airbrush in...

Hey Predatr, did you did it with acrylic paint and layered it with prosaide one at a time like you said or did you prosaided your paint?I really like the darker look and strong burn feel to it,just asking cause this is an awesome guide to my soon to come wolf mask.cheers again

There are actually three versions of it...closed mouth mid-open mouth and open mouth.

spot on wolf, like the paint work n detail, does the inner jaws have to be open like in a yawn for the outer jaws to be stretched??like when he's angry..like in the film...i might be wrong just thought thats what i've seen in the films...i might be wrong :D
