There was a local convention last weekend, so my gf and I needed to go, and not just go, but get dressed appropriately. She decided to be Padme, so we looked for options and decided that the Geonosis outfit would be the easiest to go for. We wanted to have something easy to do and cheap enough, since it was going to be only for one day. I went to the store and bought everything I needed (the Rubies belt and pockets would have worked, but they didn't arrive on time), and started working on the boots' front, belt, pockets, blaster (chrome painted Rubies), arm bands and cape.
This is what we got. All for less than $25 usd and about 10 hours of work!
And she did an incredible work with her hair!
We had a great time, and had a chance to meet Orli Shoshan (Shaak TI) and get a lightsaber plaque signed
