Padding a latex mask?

Doh!

New Member
I just bought a latex mask, but it's too big even for my boulder-sized head (when did masks become so HUGE?). Anyway, I figure I can get some foam padding for the inside, but what kind of glue will hold it into place without damaging the latex?

Thanks for any suggestions...

Have you considered using tape to hold the padding in place? If the padding is only temporary you could then remove it later.

Contact cement works great on latex. You can use eggshell-type foam to fill out the mask. I used contact cement when filling out my Batman Begins cowl and it works great. If you're doing latex to latex then you can use superglue (even though latex is flexible and sg isn't) or some kind of rubber glue.

I recently glued latex Batman armor pieces to a dive skin (lycra wetsuit). For the most part I used cement and then I went around the edges with superglue.

Good luck

Why not try using latex as a glue? Lightly soak some foam and let it get tacky so you can place it inside the mask where you need it.
