Outland Mining Shuttle

Ever since I saw the 1981 movie OUTLAND with Sean Conneary I
have always wanted a model kit of the Con Am Mining shuttle
featured in the film. I was wondering if there was ever a kit
produced on this subject or is one possibly in the works?

Not one that I am aware of, but I am sure someone on the RPF has a definitive answer for you. Would not be a bad kit to have at all:)

I loved this model the moment I saw the film & thought what a great design it was!.
I have an old Starlog magazine with a super article on the building of the shuttle by Martin Bower & Bill Pearson I think as the modelmakers & it features some priceless pics of the shuttle in various stages of construction from wooden box to adding all the kit parts.
The shuttle would make an awesome display piece.

It's sort of has an"Alien" feel to it as far as the used look.

I really feel it's one of those kit subject that just got overlooked
They have done pretty fair kits of the Nostromo and the Betty
I feel this old gal is due her day in resin.

I have always liked the way a weathered used ship looked to me
It gave it character, I like the Star Trek feel also, very clean and
Elegant, but for me used looks better. Perfect example would be
Star Wars Milleinum Falcon. Now that's a beauty!

I think Martin Bower was heavily involved in the design and construction of that model, which explains why it bears some of the same distinctive design elements of the Alien models...

I haven't looked at his web site in a long time, but he used to have a section devoted to the Outland model work.

Any news or updates on this subject still very interested in
this kit....if there is a kit of out there? I find it hard to believe
that nobody as done a model of it?
