Our scout cummerbund and pouches / colors

I've decided maybe I should designate a new thread to my cummerbund because my armor sculpting thread is more about the creation of the armor and is pretty darned long

Plus I have a few new comparison pics to share.

Here are some pics of our cummerbund and pouches:

Rightfully so, I have been asked why I am using the natural / off white color for the pouches and webbing so I will show a couple pictures of the MOM display and I had a good friend capture a few frames from the movie for me. I hope these comparison pics help to show my reasoning :

I believe the armor webbing is a natural / off white color, which is a cotton material. In the 3rd capture the armor webbing is an off white compared to the bright white belt webbing, which I believe is a nylon / polypro.

I don't disagree that some of the pictures look like they are white and they could be. Who's to say they didn't use different materials. It could also be due to the image being washed out. It's easy to lose an off white color on film. Heck, R2 was painted an off white color but you can't tell it.

We still are willing to make white pouches or any color if you wish... pink even .. don't know about that but we could probably do it

Moncal's attention to detail is spot on as they are most definitely off white like shown in those excellent MOM pics. They are not off white due to ageing as you can see it in the scans above. They only appear white if the sun is shining directly on them.

It's been a tough road trying to explain my theories on the off white color
A lot of folks think the fabric turned yellow with age.

I have noticed this difference, but just thought it was
caused by fabric, dirt, and lighting.
