Original stormtrooper blaster prop

Well of course as you officially requested it!!!!!..the mag pics hopefully will be uploaded today.
the only reason I'm going to send the pics is because you obviously spend a lot of time and effort into your research so out off respect I'll forward them on to the forum,

As giving you all the details of what I've done..Please !!! ....
I don't have to justify to anyone what work I've done...

Im just a Nigerian prince with a prepaid credit card who is taking English lessons to con somebody into a buying a non authentic blaster ....pmsl

I wanna know how you where not able to see the copyright text on the scope when putting it together.
I did ..I can only assume one had been taken apart at some stage and left with other parts in a box ..I just pieced it back together..at the time I had no idea it was just from a box that Was that was buried in a prop workshop and was told were parts from one of the movies ..
i don't really know what else to say about ..MR meant nothing to me at the time, and to be honest even though it will **** you guys off it still doesn't..just thought it looked good

Michaelvk worked on the production lawgivers for Dredd, not sure if he's still active on here but he might be able to confirm if there's any truth to this (well the dredd part, not the E-11 Mag part).

Please do ...ask him when the feature came to London ..for pick up shots ..1. What guns were used 2.who worked on the lawgivers X 2 to work on blank. Please do ..once again I don't have to justify myself ..but I have pics and videos from when we worked on them in the workshop.
we video it as production wanted to see how big the muzzle flash was.

and I don't really know what you're asking ?!? For clarification on ..did I work on them ?? To make them work !! Do I know what one actually looks like ..you'll have to forgive me ..my English is not too good ..if it was Nigerian that's a different matter.

It wasn't meant to agitate you, nor was I asking you to justify anything, it was more a suggestion for those people who are in doubt and want some further proof, I was merely suggesting that there is a member here who I know worked on the production lawgivers and may be able to help set their minds at ease, which in turn may help get them off your back, which may stop people asking you to justify yourself.

Also mate just on a side note you have to understand, that generally if someone says they did something, and a person asks for proof and the response they get is "I don't have to justify myself" then pretty much everyone is going to be suspicious.

Also some people may genuinely want to know what you've worked on in case they are building something from one of those films, in which case they can then come to you for advice for parts and techniques, this place is all about learning and helping so going on the defensive isn't really going to do much.

Any how, on with the show.

No problem bud..I fully understand I apologise! I came on here with a genuine inquiry and I've opened myself to a world of comments which I didn't expect..so please don't take offence I'm just sticking up for myself that's all.
like I said before you guys obviously have constant contact witheach other,it's like jumping into the lions den.
i would be more than happy to help anyone who is making one.
i think because you come across a Nigerian princes on here, you're very cautious..like who the #%%# is this guy!!!!!! I understand that.
for me it's a job which I love doing and there's not that many who do what I do.
at the moment I'm in the workshop prepping for kingsman2.

I'm not sure what you're wanting from me but..

The Lawgivers were in the hands of Bapty for reshoots in December 2011 according to my correspondence with them. The weapons were made to house gen 2 Glock 17s. The production blank firing weapons were fitted with full auto sears supplied by Olly Steele. Multiples of the same shells were used for airsoft as well as blank firing. I can't recall how many were made total (it was almost six years ago, for crying out loud), but there were blank firing, airsoft, soft stunt, silencer and exploding versions.

Since then I have been informed that they have all been destroyed.

If anyone disputes my involvement in the design of these weapons, check the serial number. It's a combination of my birthday and the license plate number of my car at the time. I spent several months in 2010 designing these things.

Yes it was a Bapty job.we were only given 2 frames.for the hero and a spare as all features we would have a hero and spare for anytime on set. I'd would have to look through pics it was a few years ago, for serial numbers etc all we did was work on the practical guns, as they already had the rubbers etc from the main shoot.
I remember we tried the 18s first but it was just powerful to run on auto it would fire 4or 5 then have a stoppage..we went for 17s in the end even though Bapty had a very big stock of glocks from 1st to 3rd we tried all variants to see what worked the best, if I remember correctly we had them for about 3 weeks prior to the shoot.
They worked really well and looked amazing on camera, we used 9mm Dag blank in them as in England we don't do halfs or quarters ..so it was just a case of getting them running well on whatever glock we had.
but as for how many were made for the main shoot be rubbers were made in afraid I don't know.
and also if I remember correctly the Director didn't like the gunfire it was very loud..lol so CGI it. Which was a shame ..I have video somewhere of both firing the same time full mags no stoppages.

Interesting.. We ran them full auto constantly to ensure they never stopped. And they didn't. We fixed the rear slide to the rear sights to ensure they stayed in place.

michaelvk: the reason why someone has contacted you about this matter is because they think I making it up ..or I'm a bloke living in a fantasy..sorry ! But that said it was great to work on your design.

Was this the main shoot? I'll dig out the videos ..we only had 2 18s at Bapty at that time and even then they were not that reliable.ill have to show video clips ..but the 2 guns that we used for the pic up shots were 17s not 18s

It's all good, and thank you :).. In an ever increasingly cynical society it's hard to convince people of your credentials, especially if you do dailies or are on sub contract to a production.

I have a feeling they may not have travelled well and something may have been lost in translation between the shoot in SA and the reshoots. Nobody went to the UK to hand them over. It was just left to bapty to figure it out.

They were never meant to house G18's, simply because there are literally none in SA. They equipped the G17's with a full auto sear instead. The slide was then fixed tightly to the rear sights (with a pin through the sight, much to the chagrin of Olly, the armourer). I remember him asking Jason, who assembled them and was standby on set with them, who told him he could drill through his sights. I can see that if the slide wasn't fixed down properly it could rattle around causing stoppages.

The guys literally put thousands of rounds through them to ensure they were faultless.

My God !! Thank you ..... Someone on here thats talked some sense.. Once again you and if you want the pics or the videos from testing those 2 Lawgivers I'd be more than happy to pass them on to you ..
kind regards

I'm curious how out of a box of parts, everything from an MR LE happened to be loose in there including the fake Denix and grips and you managed to put them back together exactly as MR sent it out from the factory.

That seems like an incredible stroke of luck.

In my experience there's no such thing as luck.

Yes we just turned up on one day at the workshop ..with a bag with two frames and were told you have a few weeks ..they need to work on set & that was it. It was very much all of us standing around looking at them for a few hours scratching our heads ..then " right lets get them working "
