Original stormtrooper blaster prop

I have an original part from a stormtrooper blaster ( mag)

Do you mean a part from a Sterling machine gun?....they are not that rare and relatively easy to come by......or do you mean a documented part from one of the original props used in the movie from almost 40 years ago?

Just curious;)

Yeah, they could be original production made parts, but how can a buyer tell? And how could a buyer convinve another buyer down the line? You really need soem letters from the armorers in questions verifying production use, and you need verification that thise armorers worked on the film.... In writing. That's what I mean by provenance. Even then, I'd be suspicious, given how easy it is to make the part, but for things like this, documented provenance is everything.

Hi yes , I have two mag s from a new hope ..one that I've kept a put in a 3D frame the other I was thinking of putting on eBay or something I joined this group as I wanted info about how to go about it.
but as the thread says all the guys have said without papers it's worthless..I know they are original but as a buyer they would not believe me, it's the same as the Han blaster I put together using original parts im trying to upload pics again .the blaster is not for sale I built it for my son for his 11th birthday and had it signed by Harrison ford ..which is pretty cool ..hopefullyill get pics uploaded

Merlin1975 sent these photos to me of his DL-44, for posting:

Yes ..sight ..muzzle ..everything apart from the actual deactivated C96.
The company that rented the original guns to set.it was my first ever project. My son is a huge Star Wars fan and its hung in his bedroom with a birthday message from Harrison ford.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the pics you posted don´t show ANY "real/ screenused" parts on the Han blaster.

Can´t say for sure, based on the blurry pics, but it seems to be a Master Replicas Han ANH DL44 (not even the EE, but the standard DL44 from its first release with a lot of inaccuracies). MR used a Denix as a base, no deactivated C96.

I think I would be really nervous posting online that I stole valuable historical movie props from my place of work. Especially saying I had a ton of movie props from working on films......

Lo I had no idea it would cause such a stir..no parts were stolen.
they were given.
and the props I have are just from movies that I worked on that's all.

were do you think used props come? At the end of a movie they are sold on ..props that are really used are sometimes just thrown away ..but if you speak to the right people they will give them away.

I have worked on many films were at the end the Heroes, producers have asked if they can keep certain props in the film ..it doesn't make them stolen.

Sorry I understand that sometimes you are given things were you work that is no longer in use. I'm an engineer and that sort of thing happens all the time. I'm sure that prop places just like any where else have an amount of time they will hold on to an item and then must discard it or they would be overflowing. My apologies for suggesting that these were stolen items.
