Re: National Treasure Book of Secrets - a Review

So, I'm curious...having just watched BOS again this morning...does it have the lost 18 minutes of the Watergate tapes in it as Poole explains to the Gates when telling them about the book for the first time?

Also, does it have the photo of the missing plank from the President's resolute desk?

The more feedback I read about this project, the more it makes me want one. I'm scared to see how much the eBay one is going to go for. ;-)

Yes it talks about what was on the tapes.

Yes it has the photo of the lost plank

Re: National Treasure Book of Secrets - a Review

Originally we spoke about supplying an old tape reel for the missing minutes, obviously nothing on it , just for a prop, but the issue was not the money it was more how to store it, which we found that with the key.
There Is no harm on telling the stories for the watergate theory.
My daughter was studying the book" into the lake of the woods" and she suggested it as aconspiracy theory, later the talents of Taz tied it in to the watergate scandal.
I think it turned out great , no doubt someone here willget the idea foe the eel soon enough!!!
As far as the eBay one goes, with our luck it will go for $68 including shipping and fees! LOL

And now most importantly, if you have been following this thread , right from the word go, I stated that this is an original book concerning it's contents , for sure there has to be similar or the same thories but the stories are all done by Christian and myself.
If you are after the original prop , Ross macdonald still sells his book we have no idea what the original one says.
We did include the obvious though, city of gold , plank etc.

Re: National Treasure Book of Secrets - a Review

It has a long journey so it may take some time. I'll keep you informed mate!

Re: National Treasure Book of Secrets - a Review

Not everything you see on Ross' website, as far as the inserts go went into the book, as he explained it there are "screen accurate" inserts and then there are the additional inserts you see on his site. You would never be able to cram all that stuff into that book and be able to close it.

It would be feasable to think that Presidents hid other items around D.C. such as the watergate tapes, You wouldn't be able to fit those tapes inside the book, so you could put a key in the book with instructions on where to go and find the tapes should you need them.

On a side note was a thread ever started where you could post additional inserts? I've been working on the Water Powered Car insert and almost have it done should anyone need it. I still have some clean up work to do in PS before I post it.

Re: National Treasure Book of Secrets - a Review

I still reckon the empty old reel tapes would have been the "bees knees" as a prop with this book, and I am only hoping that Brad has already shopped around cameras stores and/or Ebay for those reels. Further more I think he would do a very cool paper prop or sticker to go outside the reel:love

I am just hoping though!
Propapaloza, did you post that fuel to water yet as a proposed trade?
would love to see it. Whose book do you own, if you dont mind me asking.?

Re: National Treasure Book of Secrets - a Review

Hi, nope I don't have the final version of the water fuel cell just, I found all the images to compile the document, but I have to clean it up in PS before I can get it posted.

Thanks for the link Brad, however I can't post in there just yet. :(

Mars: I've got one of Sectors books on order. Here are a couple of images of his book
