Just got an email from Starwars.com with a link to a countdown page.

Any ideas as to what wil be the official announcement? :confused

Probably something to do with the Blu-Ray release or possibly the 3D thetaer releases.

Those are the only two projects I know of that LF wold be talking about at this point. Here's hoping it's something else though!

One of their banners clearly shows that they're referring to the Blu-ray release. We already have a discussion going on here:

Personally, I think things like this are kind of stupid. They're making a big deal about.. an announcement. Releasing movies that we already know they're going to release. The only thing left to announce is the technical specs and the bonus features (which are probably recycled from existing material). Which makes the whole thing pointless, and yet they see the need to get everyone excited, not for the release, but for just an announcement about the release. That's just stupid.
