I know others have used the readily available pouch belts that are online, but I wanted to try to use one to create something very specific. My other belts have been on the high-tech side and I wanted to go retro. Also, a number of people have asked about a belt you can actually carry stuff in.
So, this is the pouch belt that you can snag online for around $40. It comes in a green/khaki color so I dipped the whole thing in some yellow/brown dye to get the right tone. I also redid how the belt straps work. Previously the area where my buckle no resides expanded for adjustability. I needed that area to be locked to a certain size, so I flipped some of the strapping around to allow for adjustment elsewhere.
The buckle is my design. Modeled after a simple bronze oval, with a bit of Batman influence. It's thick and badass
I'm real happy with how it turned out. I would wear it to work if I could
I'll be making more, so ... keep an eye on the JY.
