Officially Licensed TRON LEGACY - RINZLER, Sam & TRON Movie Replica Suits.

Dredd, once David gets back from SDCC I'm sure he will remedy the RINZLER gloves and get you some TRON gloves ASAP.
Did the packing list show "white gloves" in the description?

Jackets look great! Has anyone tested out the reflectiveness of the Rinzler red or white at night?

My Sam Flynn would explode with reflective light when a camera flash was used. The Tron jacket, not so much. I'm not sure if its because the areas of reflective material are so small that they just dont reflect that much light but they definitely still reflect some.

I will have to test it sometime with headlights at a distance and see what it shows.

Thanks for the quick response Jedi. Looking forward to your test pics. I really want the Red Rinzler jacket for reflective reasons on the road at night and also because it looks cool. Haha

Worried about size. Seems like it's tough to get that right.

nycrebeler, the sizings on the website can be a little deceptive, I was going to get a medium but i'm glad I didnt as there would be no way it would have fitted! I have a few M motorcycle jackets that are actually a little loose on me but the tron L jacket is almost skin tight! I'd e-mail David and get his opinion about what size to get :)

Work with David on the fit, he knows best. I'm not positive a size smaller would have fit me with all the armor, and still have the mobility I need (as David suggested).

The biggest thing for me was I was hoping for a snug/fitted fit. If you look at the picture of the jacket not being worn, it actually flares out a bit at the bottom. I was hoping for it to be tapered in. Pants are similar, the calves are very snug for me, but they flare out towards the waist.

I got a couple of pics of the suit on me that I will post later. It's definitely growing on me the more I work with it.

Alright, here's the pics of my suit... I didn't have anyone to help me, so I was stuck with a tripod and having to run in front of the camera real quick... lol

Whoa!!! Thank for the pics. It looks awesome on you. The pants don't look to bad on you, but I understand what you mean about it being slightly loose or baggy. But I think the jacket looks great. Did you leave the pads on in the jacket or did you take them out in the pics?

What model helmet is that? Does it have the flip up chin bar?
My HJC Sy-Max helmet has that and it's a great feature.

Great looking suit!

Bell Revolver helmet, does have a flip-up chin. Don't really like the helmet. Everything is hard and rigid, and all the mechanisms feel cheap and easy to break. The helmet was cheap though (on closeout).

I'm exploring other helmet options.

sfischer,

Great pics! I love that it gives pretty much a full on 360 view in normal light conditions. If I scroll down fast enough on the pics it looks like a vid of you spinning around. haha

I also see what you are saying about the fit of the pants. I'm prolly looking at my Sam Flynn pants fitting the same way. I felt more comfortable going by David's suggestion though as I sure as hell didn't want to be stuck with pants that wouldn't fit me at all. We shall see, I might end up ordering another set of pants down the road in a smaller size for costuming. heh heh.
I'm addicted! ahha

Thanks, I hope the pics and info are helpful.

I wish I could try on an XSmall to see if it would fit with the armor, but I don't really want to end up with two of the same thing. Realistically, I'd only end up wearing one set. If only I could have this one taken in a bit in the midsection! lol

On an interesting note, there isn't a lot of choices for taller, slim guys in terms of motorcycle gear. Most gear is cut very short for small sizes, for people 5'8-5'10. I'm 6' and I think this would fit just as well for someone that's 6'2 to maybe 6'4. You can see with the folds in the thighs and knees there's plenty of material to go. Also I was stuffing the leg pieces down into the boots. Over time, they pull out and make it a little worse.

Hey Dave and team,

Just sent an email in but figured I'd post here incase anyone else has the same issue.

When I received my Sam Flynn suit there was some bleeding from the hex design onto the plastic covers for the reflective strips, I've never found a way to clean it off. Has anyone else run into this issue and found a way to clean it?

Thanks!

You might try something like Meguiar's PlastX, or some sort of plastic polish. You could try a high concentrate of rubbing alcohol, but that will likely dull the plastic, which you might can restore with something like PlastX. That would be a last resort though.

Whatever you do, be sure and protect the leather around it so the chemicals don't get absorbed into the leather.

Got my Rinzler suit last week. Upon inspecting it I got to say that I am not happy at all! Big let down for my 4th UD suit. First off the red reflective material is all blotchy or non existent in some areas of the suit (mainly jacket). Secondly the crotch zipper was broken right out of the box. The zipper stop on the top of the crotch is non existent. Zipper is detached from one side. Need to speak to David now that he's back from SDCC. Disapointed :angry

@usconcept...
My adive to you, would be to do NOTHING to the jacket...
because ANY attemp at "trying" to clean it urself, will vitto the shipping warrenty!
Simply put, wait till ur able to "inform David" of the Damages be4 doing anything to the jacket.

Plus from "my understanding" browsing through the thread...
a # of ppl have had this very SAME issue with the "ink stains" a # of times in the past...
which David quicky took care of...from what i read.

0_o" which is WHY i find it confusing...
because i was under the belief David took EXTRA steps to pervent this...
after Q1 shipments went out back in 06-27-2011 [page#9 post #225]
with removeable adhesive tape & wrap

Thanks BoS307, unfortunently my jacket was from the shipment prior, being as I was not only moving but also transitioning my job I did not open the box for at least 2 months, when I found it I figured it would be an easy clean and move on, eventually trying to clean it and failed.

I wouldn't expect UD to really do anything since it's been a year since receipt, more so looking at what I could do myself. :)

Edit: browsing on the phone I totally skipped over those posts :( this is why computers are sometimes better, you can see more at once!
