Officially Licensed: Captain America: TFA - Movie Replica. Now Completely SOLD OUT!

Re: Officially Licensed: Captain America: TFA - Movie Replica. Customer Pics Added 5/

Seems like there's a bit of sizing issues going on here, David can you address? I'm just worried because I ordered a M jacket and my chest is 42" and waist 33", so not sure if guys here are having fitment issues because of chest or waist. Usconcept ordered a size L that fits him and my chest measures bigger, yet I was told to order a size M :confused Maybe it's a height/length thing?

To djdancypants, size M should fit a 39" chest but also depends on your waist and shoulders, best to ask David first.

Sleepr,

I may have quoted my measurements wrong, I have 40 stuck in my head but I actually think it is 43.. keep in mind that there are other measurements also take into consideration, such as shoulder or gut.

Guys, :facepalm I can assure you all that there are NO Sizing Issues! None.
If one follows our Captain America size chart, THEN there are NO issues.
Furthermore, chest and waist alone do not determine size...you need the shoulders too.

Basically, just as your last line states...

"but also depends on your waist and shoulders, best to ask David first."

...That is the best way to go! Consider that this is not a $200.00 suit, a simple phone call goes a LONG way to ensure proper fit.

Anyone that assumes that because they wear a 'large' jacket from other manufacturers and should just order a 'large' jacket from me....is not only totally disregarding our way to order the goods, but absolutely NOT reading the T&C that everyone must agree to when placing an order at UD Replicas. Sizing is the single most important part of your purchase at UD Replicas.

While I don't claim to be perfect, I can assure you that I am present on most message boards and other social media like our Facebook Group Page... which is monitored regularly and updated several times a day...personally take ALL calls regarding product or sizing every single day, and get an average of 7-900 emails on a busy day.
In other words, I'm in it for the long haul and I'm here for YOU!

However, if someone assumes a given size will fit and it doesn't...OR purchases these goods not to use as biker wear, and doesn't remove the body armor then yes, they will appear to be tight right from the get go...but considering the purchase amount, how passionate we are about production and product follow through...communication and product delivery, a simple call to me will eliminate any doubts and certainly lead to big smiles upon receipt of your goods.

In other words....guys, call me! :lol

Thanks,
David

I read it as more of an emphasis to call.. you say everywhere to call, so if they don't they will of course blame UD for sizing issues.. no harm in preparing everyone!

Thank you David. I can attest that David is one cool professional to do business with. I called him a number of times as my measurements were off. He helped and even walked me thru on how to exactly do the measurements. This cleared up everything and my measurements were true. :thumbsup
He then told me exactly what size of each item that I needed to order.
I know he was very busy as I called on the last day before orders were to be closed and he gave me all of his time and attention to ensure that my order would be spot on.

Thanks again David for all your time and taking a true leadership role of your company. As a business owner as well it does take a lot of time, energy and passion to direct your business to go nowhere but up!
And you are doing exactly that.:thumbsup

I was thinking about the development of the backpack for the Batman suit that UD is doing now and then watching TFA, I couldn't help but notice how many times Cap slips his shield onto his back, especially while riding the bike.
Would it be too much to think that there be a possibility of a Cap Am backpack that looked like his shield?
I know UD doesn't do helmets or weapons, but having it done in molded leather and be utilitarian with pockets and storage are a feasible idea.

Anyone else like to see a "Shield" backpack?

David had stated in an earlier post that both the helmet and shield were obtained by another member here and will not be produced by UD.

Hope this helps!

Looked through the earlier posts and didn't see it (hence the question). Who's the member offering the helmets then?

I apologize, I looked through the earlier posts and couldn't seem to find it. I do remember him posting it though, perhaps it was on Facebook?

He never released the name.

Edit: I found it, see post below.

Re: Officially Licensed: Captain America: TFA - Movie Replica. Full Reveal 11/16

I have no idea who the maker is, but I traded for it here. When I got it, it was just the resin cast helmet, nothing more. I repainted it, added the leather hood and chin straps. It's really cool looking but not at all accurate. Still, it looks pretty awesome. I just wanted something that could be shown with the suit. Just like the shield, totally custom....and just for photo purposes. :thumbsup

Prices are coming soon. We have all the details ready, just the back end work on the site needs to be done...full details are not far away now.
Finally.....:angel

David

Found it!

David - any chance you will be offering the gloves for sale separately (and to Australia)?
