Did any of you ever watch "The Liar's Club"? At this point, Larry Hovis or Bob Crane (or Bill Shatner even) would be saying "It's what a pilot on an aircraft uses to hold a deck of playing cards" or "It's a prop, a communicator from Star Trek" or "It's a better mousetrap but the piece that would hold it open with the cheese is missing."

It's so fun to try to figure out hat it was, it's hard not to cheat and call friends to ask.

Fascinating. :D

I believe a needle case is a good possibility, although I haven't found any with the correct hinge. Something I've also been looking at is Self Inking Stamp Replacement Pad Cases. Regular ink pads are too large but the self inking stamp pads are in the correct size range and a spring loaded lid on the case may keep the replacement pad from drying out. Click on the pics below for larger images.

I've used those kind of inkstamps they don't have a hinged lid it comes off completely, a normal inkpad wouldn't have a springloaded lid either or you would have to continually open it to use it.

I suppose that's probably true. Doubtful that there will be a plentiful source. More like finding one here or there.

Gino, if the item is found, will you gut this thread, ask for it to be deleted, and keep the information private like you did with the hose thread?

A duplicate of this thread has been archived, so if you do it again, the thread will be restored.

If he doesn't selfishly keep everything to himself, how will he sell us "The Most Screen Accurate TIE Pilot Helmet Ever Made" for large sums of money.
Can't believe he deleted all the posts from the other thread, in an effort to keep all the info that everyone else on the thread searched for, secret.

Thanks Treadwell, for letting us know what Mr.Sneaky Pants was up to.

Bad form using this forum to mine info and then try and horde it. This sort of nonsense hurts the hobby.

I supose that's how he finds his "EXACT" costume pieces.
Doesn't surprise me. I said in another thread that his Emperor robe was NOT the EXACT same fabric as the original(AND IT IS NOT!), and yet he said it was. It's pretty clear that he finds his "look a likes" pieces with the help of the people here and then sell later on for hundreds as "original", or "exact the same" . Boooooo! (n)thumbsdown

Since I seem to have created some confusion in regard to my actions regarding these search threads, I realize I owe some explaination.

My intent for posting these search threads was very specific for me.
I wanted to post a bounty for the person who could deliver the correct stuff to me. For me and only for me.
Whatever info was gained was never intended to be shared publicly.
The reward was the incentive, but was meant to be shared with me privately and not publicly. Had they shared it publicly, it would have negated their reward. It wouldn't make much sense for me to pay out a reward if it was going to be made public.

In the case of the tie pilot hose, people kept posting their guesses etc... which was their perogative, even though I would have preferred that it be private.
For the record, not one of the suggestions were even in the ballpark, and I was able to find the stuff completely on my own accord.

Now, with the hose thread still being out there, it struck me that the followiong scenario could potentially occur. If someone were to find the actual stuff now (after I had already found it) and approach me expecting their reward, it would put me in a difficult situation. The stuff had been found by me, but since I didn't take down the 'wanted' poster, I didn't want to have to tell a potential finder that I already found it and the reward was invalid after the fact.
So, I decided to delete the thread and the listing for the reward so that it would never happen.

As far as the validity of this thread, the mowhawk container, it very much is still in effect.
But let me be perfectly clear if I hadn't before. If you find it, THE actual item and provide it to me AND ONLY ME PRIVATELY, you will get the reward. But if must be under those conditions.

If someone approaches me with this piece, or if I find it on my own accord, I will immediately delete this thread as to avoid any further confusion.
I will just say it is found and will not reveal how as I would not want the person who found it to be hounded when they are obligated to keep it private.
Again, this is not meant to be a search thread to be made public.
If you have a lead etc... use your judgement on whether you should or shouldn't post it. Keep in mind, my intention for this search and reward thread is a confidential one.

Well it is plain to see you are a selfish character but good of you to be honest. I love the way you almost talk to people like you are actually consumed by Vader himself..Funny..

GINO....I dunno, typically I give you the benefit of the doubt, but with your last post...all I can say is Wow.

...and not in a good way.
