This one is going to be tough.
I've looked everywhere with no luck.
This is for the little box/container that is found on the base of the tie/at-at pilot mowhawk, near the neck.
Here is what I know:
1. The container approx. dimensions are 2" (50mm) wide, 1 3/8" (34mm) tall, and 3/8" (34mm) deep.
2. The lid (colored white) is glued to the mowhawk. The surface that is glued would be the top of the lid face up if it was setting on the table. The reason that we cannot detect any manufacturing info is because it is most likely written on the same surface that is adhered to the mowhawk. There is no writing anywhere else on the container.
3. The base of the container could either be naturally black colored, or painted black. We don't know for sure, but I believe that black is it's natural color because I don't think they would have masked off the white lid before painting.
4. The box is spring loaded. In other words, if you were to open it, it would want to snap closed like a clam shell.
5. In the below pic of the inside of the white lid, what you are seeing is where the owner of this particular helmet wrote their name in magic marker. On the real found item, it is just plain white.
I have no idea what a container like this would be used for. It's pretty shallow so that should narrow it down a bit as far as what was supposed to go inside.
Any theory's that might further the search would be very much welcomed.
An actual find, and I would probably fall out of my chair.
In fact, if you can ID the part with the available source, PM me and as a reward, I'll GIVE you a tie pilot helmet!
