Just got my shipping notification too!

Not sure how they were able to ship them out at 9:30 at night, but what the hell! :lol

Im pretty sure they shipped then in exact reverse order.

And mine are estimated to arrive on the 22nd.

I was attempting to order 8 of them on release day at noon on the dot, but my order didn't actually go through until 12:45.
So yeah, the 20-minute thing is obviously BS.

My PKE's are enroute from Ontario (California?) to Kentucky. I got my shipping notification on the 15th, it left Ontario on the 17th and has a rescheduled delivery date of 22nd of December. My card has not been charged.

Just got my notice as well. Scheduled for the 23rd. At least its on-route so that's a good thing. Since I'm in Florida, everything I want asap ships from California and takes the full time to get here. But its on its way. :)

I never got one :( Sad panda face. I have a feeling I'd only be paying more to get it from someone else, so I'll probably be one of the only Ghostbusters in the world without a meter. Damn minimum wage.

Hey Guys,

I just got mine today. UPS, for some unknown reason, left it by the side of the garage in a torrential downpour instead of on my porch. If I hadn't noticed it when I got home from work, it would have been soaked through and through.

For $60, it's pretty darn cool. I like the lights and sounds (don't grill me on the accuracy. I'm not one of those folks that scrutinize it while going frame by frame through the DVD. Nothing wrong with doing that, I just don't care enough to break out the caliper).

My only critique is that it feels a little plastic-y....which I know it should since it was based on a plastic shoe polisher or whatever. But the seams on the arms make it feel a bit toy-like. Who knows, maybe the original prop was like this. It certainly doesn't change my opinion of it it. It's pretty darn cool and a much better deal than dropping $350 on a kit and attempting to build it.

By the way, I live in Northern CA in case anyone is wondering what my proximity is to the Fulfillment/distribution center.

Gary

Oh, no, the thing from MATTEL you paid less than a hundred bucks for feels too toy-like?

...

It's a toy.

Just wanted to throw something out there about the PKE Meter for those who aren't as familiar with the prop as others. The found item the original prop was made from was an Iona Shoe Polisher. Basically the real PKE body was plastic, so feeling toy-like may not be that bad of a thing (I won't know until I hold it and compare it to a real Iona). If it feels like a sturdy plastic that is a good thing!

Here is some awesome information about the prop:
PKEmeterp1

There you can see what an Iona Shoe Polisher looks like prior to conversion and some awesome shots of the original PKE being built.

I noticed that as well. It could have been added for another film that the PKE appeared in. So it may be screen accurate for some movie, but not necessarily Ghostbusters. :lol

Any reason, in particular, why they are using UPS? USPS is faster, cheaper and works on Saturdays at no extra cost. I have patience, but USPS gets my stuff delivered in 3 days, as opposed to a week, like UPS.

It's probably cheaper for them.
