Official Ghostbusters PKE Meter Prop

Yeah, especially since over at GBfans.com they confirmed that the tape found on the actual prop on display was probably used for some other film and not ghostbusters since you can look at footage from GB1 and 2 and see that there are open screw holes.

I received mine as X-Mas gift this past weekend and I have been extremely WOWED bit it. Its a super prop at a super price, I wish I could purchase a few more if they produce another batch of them. The balance of price to quality and accuracy is the best I have seen in a long time. I think this bodes extremely well for future GB replicas by Mattel.

Oh man, the anticipation is rough. I still haven't heard anyone say how to apply the black tape for the skrew holes and whether its truly necessary. It kind of sounded like a weird fix to me. Can anyone chime in?

I'd leave it as is. The PKE had the back holes visible.

Thanks GK. I also couldn't imagine how black tape wouldn't look pretty silly. Are the skrews at least black? I wouldn't mind swapping them out for some or painting them lightly.

just got mine Cant play with it until xmas, but i didn sneak a peak and hold it a little bit. Im surprised by the nice weight of it, and the finish is really even and nice. Damn this thing is nice..

Got mine's too. I love it. Compared to a converted iona, the toy PKE is a bit fat on the handle and slightly on the body. Slightly taller and bigger details, too. These are small details 90% of the buyers won't care about.

The con I have is having to set the flashing/beeping speed separated from the wing movement, and the fact that you have to twist the thumb-wheel a lot to noticeably change the speed. I'm gonna have to do a lot of Slight of hand, so people don't notice me operating the speed when I'm running a diagnostic when "playing Doctor" at cons

But, oh, well, it still makes a great toy at a great price. Matty collector really came through for the fans with product, price and delivery. I doubt they will EVER do a whole pack, but I can see them doing a Movie-accurate-enough Neutrona wand.

I would say trap or goggles next. and they have to pimp the goggles out with alot of lights. Probably goggles first since they are smaller.
