The colours look good, hard to say without seeing it in person.

The inner tunic sleaves do that simply because they are made longer than the hand a good 3-4 inches and then pushed over thehand and rests on teh wrist just like that. So the effect works with all materials. My inner tunic is exactly like Anakin's, and is Silk Crepe, and works great ;)

Well, well. I got this morning two swatches of cotton jersey. I will tell you this: cotton jersey matches the texture/pattern displayed on DAG swatches brochure. I got chocolate browns, one dark and one reddish. I do not which one use. So what do you think?

Can you post pictures of the cotton jersey? Where did you purchase it (looking to update my Obi Wan ROTS costume before Halloween)? Thanks.

Randy

I will do it ASAP I take some photos. I do not have the DSC right now. I got two swatches today. I am planning to buy of them by the end of the week. Time is running out :cry

Can you post/PM me the link so I can order some swatches? They'll probably be better than pictures since it's hard to tell much (i.e. texture, weight, actual color) from just a picture. Thanks.

I am sorry Randy. I got them in Argentina. They do not have a website where you can order it. But you can try looking where do you live by calling it cotton jersey brown chocolate. I will pm you ASAP post here the photos. do not worry. If you do not find it where do you live I would love to buy some for u or any other. Hope that helps.

I actually just went to the Star Wars exhibit at the COSI museum in Ohio over the weekend. I have some fairly good shots of Obi Wan's costume and some very detatiled shots of his belt buckle if you still need those. They are fairly large pictures some I'll post them on Photobucket tonight and then post the link. Photobucket may restrict the size so if you need to zoom in on them further I can e-mail you the pics as well.

You guys are starting to make me drool over jedi costumes. All this fabric information is fantastic and Primrodo those reference pix rock. I'm learning so much from you guys...keep up the great discussion. :thumbsup

Kyle, on the photos of your crinkle fabric samples, are they all 100% cotton or are any a mix of other fibers? Thanks.

They are made of cotton. More expensive than silk bambula or synthetic one. I have great news. I found a 90% accurate replacement for the Obi-Wan Tunic fabric. I will post the photos during the day ASAP I organize them.asap I organize them.

Not bad.

my only issue with it is that it looks to lack the raised pattern of the actual costume...
[/b]

Yes, you are right. I do not know yet how to do the waves. Maybe some trick. I will find out.

As you know, We will never be able to get the orignal fabric. Unless you work for JAK Productions or Lucas F. :)
I am trying to help.

The fabric looks good, not 100% perfect but it should look great.

The other fabrics also look nice. Whats the fabric like in your area?

Don't forget the inner tunic looks like this, if you are going for super accurate ;)

Is it me, or the undertunic is full brown and he is using some kind of vest over to hide the brown under the thin fabric? this is my mom theory. :confused

Check at the shoulder. :love
