I have one on the way ... why not for that price?

Honestly, I've been debating making my own. One detail that I'm curious what we will see is how they handle the "eyebrows" ... the horizontal lines over the sets of vertical lines on each side. On the screen-used rang these lines are engraved. On the SD, and all that ripped him off they were raised. Now, on the early NECA pics they were raised, and in the Toyfair demo videos, they were raised. But recent shots look like maybe they corrected them?

They didn’t.

I just realized you titled the new Stacey Props as NECA (white background). My fault.

Valor - I agree, at that price, why not. By 'on the way' do you mean you found a place to order online?

NM - just read they are exclusive at Walmart until March, after which they will be more widely available, such as on Amazon.

Sorry for the out of subject but am I the only one to find the 1st Stacey batarang more accurate ( softer and rounder) than the new one more sharp ( too sharp?).

I thought the same thing. But we really don't know how soft the edges on the original are. We just have old photos and screenshots. But, also, it might just be the photo looking extra sharp because of the glossiness. Here's another shot. I would say it's in between the original Stacey and a very sharp edged one.

You are not. I feel the same way. While his new version is still beautiful I prefer the 1st version. like that it’s sculpted rather then 3D printed. I also like the imperfections. That’s how those props were made and looked for the film. You honestly can’t go wrong with either version. You will 100% be getting the most accurate rang on the market as far as I am concerned. The Stacey Props one is tempting. I still think the NECA one looks fine for what it is. It is first and foremost a toy and it is 1/10th the cost.

yeah exactly.
Even I fully understand his decision to go for the 3D print option for a easier/quicker/cheaper manufacturing rather than sculpting each batarang, for the owner, the first one is maybe more desirable from a collector's point of view.

It's a bit deceiving in the photos, but the milled in grooves on the fin areas are also all the same width. Just a rounded milling bit run in that grill pattern into the objects flat surface.

Here is a blueprint I made a long time ago when deep in the 89' gadget research madness.
