I'm new to the forums and to the foam building game. I've been wanting to build a Buzz costume for ages.
I must say I really love this build. Just curious as to what you used for the elbows? Is it also just foam?

Ive seen even a few others try to do the elbow joints but none have looked as accurate as yours.

I actually ended up just making my own patterns. I used the patterning instructions from this guy:http://www.instructables.com/id/Buzz-Lightyear/ and ran with it. Then I made Emperor Zurg too for kicks and giggles.

I'm impressed. One of the best Buzz costumes i've seen in terms of the proportions. Buzz is a very odd shape so you have to compromise somewhere. You found a very nice balance.

What an awesome costume. I'm not sure how you store it, but I don't think I could resist building the box from the movie to display this thing. Right after I convinced my wife to give the spare room...

Hey, I know it’s been five years since this build but I’ll give you an update.

I ended up shipping this suit to a guy in Europe who uses it to visit sick children an hospitals. So it was a total win.

I was honored to have it place first in the RPF Halloween Costume Contest.

I have since joined the 501st legion and have continued to build costumes. I’ve ramped up to about three a year.

The work the 501st does to raise funds for children is awesome
