This project is cursed, why don't we all just admit it.
I mean, we have a cryocan with working pop-up mechanics, but we can't seem to make a simple NVG set - that should tell us something. Hell, we even got a Triangle of Light or whatever it is from Tomb Raider, but we can't get these NVGs finished. Just forget about them and move on.

Is it sad I REALLY want this thread to start up again? Don't have much skill yet, but I'd LOVE to get my hands on a set of these

Well it's been 5 years so it's WAY overdue.
I've been watching these threads and upon seeing some sculpts back in the day I started to drool.
Upon the statement 'whomever can ID the lenses gets a free set' Ibeing put out almost passed out.
Sadly after hearing back from numerous optical and NVG specialists no one could ID the lenses so I'm also lead to believe these are all custom made and not 'found parts'.
That being said there are attempts to have these built and a set went up on eBay a few weeks ago (check completed auctions) and sold for a pretty penny.
You never know...they may become available one day.

Yeah I just saw rylo made a set but they were waaaay expensive

I know that feeling well I only earn from my props in my store lol. Here's mine I revisited the project it's only CGI and not perfect because I didn't do the out of symmetry parts. It was easier to mirror one side after I modelled them. I'm probably going to print these parts and try a budget pair then get down to the nitty gritty of electronics
