...to make a S.H.I.E.L.D sign for my sons room, needs sanding and it will be ready to paint :)

Ignore the fuzzy edges, that will go with the sanding.

Excellent idea, sure they'll love it. It's always a success with the kids.
For the same reason, I did quite the same thing for my oldest daughter :

Was that laser cut?

I need to make something for the girls room, they're only 3 and 4 so don't listen to awful bands yet ;)

They saw the princess bed thread on here and want one now ...

Looks good! Mostly finished painting now, need to sand the base layer down and apply top coat then clear coat it.

Finished and now on display on his door. He's only 2 but he'll appreciate it soon ;)

I used to do large logo's and artwork out of foam core cut out by hand or with a scroll saw.

I did a small version of the Mortal Combat logo posted above using black foam core and weathered it to look like old stone.

I've been trying to find foam core around here at a reasonable price, MDF is just cheaper :(

The last time I bought foamboard it was £7.99(~$13) for 4 A4 sheets. I'd rather the CNC took an extra 5 mins with MDF than pay that price :D

Start them young! Ive been making my son watch marvel cartoons religiously with me to make sure that he is thoroughly brainwashed! Hes only 18 months :lol

Also, great build man!

The Avengers cartoon was on a few days ago and he took himself over and watched an entire episode without making a peep, he never does that!

And thanks!

Another one, this failed slightly because the Z axis bottomed out during carving.

But I'm happy with it as a test, it is curved like the shield, but the camera didn't pick that up.

Cheers mate. For anyone wanting to make one, I found the red and blue to be pretty close colour wise(to my untrained eye). The paints are acrylic metallic red and metallic blue from Wilkos(UK) and are on offer at the moment for 0.75p :)
