No Disintegrations - Vader database and research site

I have started on a new project and well... am nervous about posting it up but devil hates a coward huh...:angry:lol

I really like Vader stuff, and as a new guy it was hard to start out. Forums are great, but as time goes on, things get lost, buried, and the members get tired of the same questions. I understand.

So I am trying to compile a reference site, along the lines of Starwarshelmets, (thanks Jez for the trail blaze!) that deals with just Vader and the costume.

I want this site to be as objective as possible, nice looking and one that will report on all currently available in the community and the stuff that can be found on Ebay. Noob friendly.

I have used stuff in the design to keep it fresh, pics I have found from 4 years of digging around. The parts pics are going to be from real guys that own them, and this is an open call as well if you wish to submit. I would love to have them all look the same, so any pic of parts please shoot on a white or black background. If interested, post up or PM me.

I am striving to avoid any "imperial entanglements" of any kind.

It is not a sales site, just research. I will provide links to the known Vaderheads though.

Now at this point it is a WIP. Formatting, editing and such will improve as well as content. I want to be sure of all the wording prior to going live, but I had to start somewhere.

What is up now is a start, and I am sure not perfect. I am open for suggestions and input. I dont know everything, but am open to learn. This site is ego free, just fact based as possible.

So here it is...

Very nice site, I really dig the design. And as a resource, you can never be on the wrong side!

Re: No Disintegrations

Looks like you are off to a good start.:thumbsup

Re: No Disintegrations

You have forgotten the Dark-Side chest box.

I love the site :love

Re: No Disintegrations

Still adding content... the pictures will change even on the ones I have up.:thumbsup

The goal is to have all known props up and described. I am hoping that members, makers and collectors will submit pics with descriptions. As long as its photographed on a white or black background.

Re: No Disintegrations

only suggestion I have is to change the width of the page. I have my monitor set to 1280 x 1024, which is fairly high and I have side scroll bars.
I know, back in the day, they use to use 800 x 600 as the standard, I thought I heard it raised to 1024 x 768 at one point, but I kind of stopped paying attention. Anyway, other than that I think it's a great project

Re: No Disintegrations

Great site! It's nice to have a lot of basic information in one place so you can start looking into stuff. I'm sure it'll be more in depth as you update it, but now it's great for a beginner already! :thumbsup

Hmm...maybe it's my browser? IE7
but the first set of pics goes side by side, so the pic of Vader on the pyre is what is off my screen and causing the side scroll bars. And there's a bit of text over there

Re: No Disintegrations

Ill have to look. I mainly have been tweeking with Firefox. Thanks for the info! I am on it!

Re: No Disintegrations

Almost fully up and running. Still have an all call on content submission. If you want to have your stuff on there... Hit me with a photo at

I am hoping to build a huge database, and that will require some help.
