Nike Mag's - It's About Time - VIDEO!

Re: Nike McFly's - It's About Time - VIDEO!

I wouldn't want them on a regular pair of shoes I planned on wearing everyday. I would want them on a 2015 pair, but other than that I see problems for a pair of shoes I would wear everyday.

But I know it's possible.

Re: Nike McFly's - It's About Time - VIDEO!

THANKS VIVEK!!!

So:

Day 1-2 = Down 29%
Day 2-3 = Down 15%

Re: Nike McFly's - It's About Time - VIDEO!

I THINK the lowest they will go is between days 7-8.

Thanks again Vivek.

And I think because of international buyers it won't go down much more but for ya'lls sake I hope I am wrong.

I just want a size 8 since it was Michael's size, if I got a pair of 13's I would never wear them anyway.

I bet they go down though. People will lose interest especially when they notice everyone else selling theirs on ebay and not selling them.

Sorry, no international bidders:

Q: WHY IS THIS AUCTION ONLY OPEN TO BIDDERS FROM THE UNITED STATES?

Due to individual country regulations governing the manufacture, distribution and/or sale of products containing batteries and other electronic components (i.e. chargers), sales and shipments for this auction will be available to bidders in the United States.

Re: Nike McFly's - It's About Time - VIDEO!

Are there already people selling theirs on eBay ?? I don't think so (??) because its way too close for anyone to even have received theirs yet (?)

The people who have been buying to resell will be very surprised when they try to sell theirs at what they thought would be a killer profit.

Re: Nike McFly's - It's About Time - VIDEO!

Thanks everyone for the hard work putting info out there on these shoes. I still think some nice letters to the head of Nike are worthwhile.

Secondly....and unfortuantely what we can't see...is just how many of these auctions are ACTUALLY going thru and happening. Im actually fairly sure that people who bid the first day and then saw the price falling will probably have NOT paid. Imagine that...you take a paypal hit but save $1500. Im really thinking behind the scenes is more of a mess than you think.

I think also that if speculators are buying these they are way off base. Nobody is going to pay more than $1500-2000 when the dust finally settles...and the prices coming down day after day is proving that....

Best thing that could happen is the media is made aware of the inherent method of selling these on ebay (ie...the numbers do lie) and secondly it would be nice to know how is Nike approaching the bidding.

Say for instance...and here is a test for a brave soul...Im not advocating it...Im just saying.

Bidder 1 bids $3500, and bidder 2 bids that guy up to $1500. Bidder 3 comes in and knocks it up to $3501 and then doesnt pay.

So? What happens do they take the bidder 1 at $1501?

There are WAY too many unanswered questions here.

BUT....something in my gut tells me....that this may have happened.

I hadn't even noticed that ! Thank god I never intented to bid or buy one of these, else I'd have been cussing the heck out of Nike.

What a pathetic excuse anyway :thumbsdown

I agree. They really screwed this one up. They should have put all 1500 for sale with a BIN, instant payment required.

Even at 3000-4000 each, they would have sold better than in auction.

Auctions give you (buyer) time to sit back and evaluate the trend.

With a BIN, you're in the same boat as everybody else, so get it now before they're gone.

' swat I think anyway.

The guy who came up with this bright idea of auctions on eBay must not have any experience on what is known as evilbay for good reasons other than fees.

Absolutely. Buy it now would have been viable but not made them the money. Unfortunately the only thing that solves this is making more...

Heres more foof for thought

"PAYMENT
All sales are final. Payment is required within (2) two days of the auction close. Winners will be blocked from bidding on other auctions from seller if payment is not made within 2 days."

So the worst that happens is the account you made up with (0) feedback is or a few more is blocked from other auctioncause events if not paid within two days.

AGAIN I AM NOT ADVOCATING THIS. Im pointing out the huge flaws in the Death Stars trench.

Worst thing is that the boots won't be shipped out until after 10 days have gone out, so its almost impossible to know who won...and clearly no one here has yet....Im sure they would have said but probably too embarrassed at spending $5,000

I think more of what Im saying will come to play this week but Im going to call auctioncause and get an official statement from them about the non paying bidder situation.

Can't hurt to try hey.

Re: Nike McFly's - It's About Time - VIDEO!

That was her first prototype. She did a much better 2nd version.

Power Laces 2 PROTOTYPE DEMO - YouTube

I believe she was even on the Today show or something talking about them.

Yeah, I talk to Blake fairly frequently. She is still working hard on this as we speak. She's at the point where she is trying to turn it from a prototype into a commercial product. She's on the case though - she'll have this way in advance of Nike's 2015 goal, if they can even achieve that.

Re: Nike McFly's - It's About Time - VIDEO!

If they go down below $2K I'll probably bid and put myself in some serious credit card debt.

I just want a size 8 since it was Michael's size, if I got a pair of 13's I would never wear them anyway.

That's the question. Am I buying these so I can wear them occasionally, or buying them to display? If only to display, then I can buy an unwearable cheaper size like 7s or 8s.

I'm also thinking that I'm a size 11 shoe, but I'd want a size 12 - as they look like they would be hard to get into, like the last Hyperdunks they put out.

Re: Nike McFly's - It's About Time - VIDEO!

WOW! That guys means business...I mean he spells in ALLL CAPS!!! :lol

I especially love this :

"I CAN GET OVERSEAS BUYERS ANY SIZE THEY WANT FOR THE SAME PRICE."

Sure you can.

Who in his right mind would try and break a highest bid like that after the 4th or 5th day.

:lol

Re: Nike McFly's - It's About Time - VIDEO!

If you guys are Curb Your Enthusiasm fans, Michael J. Fox was on the Season Finale, it was SO FREAKING HILARIOUS!!!! Probably the funniest episode this season.

PLEASE WATCH IT!!! It amazes me even more when someone can make light of their condition, and Michael J. Fox has a BLAST with it.
