I had a friend who had the Jordan collection he had since he was a kid.
His apartment got robbed but he had it insured and he said he got $12,000 for the whole shebang.

I would. I don't know what he really got, but if you have a nice collection and insure them you will at least get back what you paid, or to my understanding anyway.
I would assume some people here insure their collections, which for an extra $20-$30 a month I would think is worth it.

Yeah, to me it seems odd that you shouldn't be wearing them. I personally think that what Nike said is a disclaimer 'You shouldn't wear these', so that if someone does get mugged or stabbed and this matter is brought into court (oh jeez), 'You shouldn't have worn these' will be their defense lol

I'm guessing they agree to a disclaimer "If u are injured in any way from wearing these, Nike is not responsible. Wear at own risk." Nike KNOWS what these shoe mean to the entire planet, and pretty sure they know there are desparate bad guys willing to grab a pair once they are on the street. Glad i havent ran into any... Yet...? Uh oh. Haha

I guess they are going to have to run the auctions for 2 days extra past the end to sell all the non-paying bidder ones.

The interview with the project manager/designer said that they WERE designed to be worn. I think the whole "not meant to be worn" thing is really a liability precausion, mainly due to the electronics....plus as mentioned, I am sure there will be more than one lowlife out there willing to litterally kill you for a pair of these.

"take his shoes?" and the bad guy gets scared in the real world. These seem like they'd fit that situation in some cities but i hope I HOPE not in all cities. Hopefully for the peoples' sake that others will be made just so this doesnt happen, official release or not
