What I don't understand is why they don't sell the good modded shoes for like 300-400 dollars. I did the calculations and if you get air mags with poor LEDs at aliexpress for 130 dollars and replace the led with ed sheet, get new bubble lights, slim the toe, get the light up nike sign, and dye/replace the sole, it only costs roughly 200-250 dollars to do including price for shoes but it seems like the youtubers like cavx01 and others that make you pay for the shoe upgrade charge up to a grand and a half (1500) from what I here. It seems like the skilled modders take advantage of the noobies and no one sells the modded ones on the marketplace. The only way to get them at a somewhat reasonable price is through Ebay and that costs 400 to 500 dollars with not all the mods included. I just hope that better replicas start selling at the marketplace because people know the shoe now. I have showed people I know pictures of the shoes and they don't even know a thing about nike mags but they know what the shoe is because of the self tying shoe. My prediction is that the majority of people are finding out about the shoe because it will be the first marketed self tying shoe and will begin to admire the design but probably will not be able to afford the shoes itself, so they will go research and buy the replicas. Then, The sales of the replicas will spike and the v3s that have been rumored or the shoes that we have been promised that are almost the same as the real ones will be sped up production wise now that the shoe is in demand. Then, A more accurate replica will be created or Nike will wise up and release a public non self tying shoe when the power lace shoes come out or the nike mag RDs will get a price drop or nike will make more. Also, even though tinker said no more mags will ever be released, nike is a big company that needs money and regardless of what Tinker says, They are the boss and they can release what they want. Thats my prediction.

I think that is what they will do because it seems reasonable given the circumstances. Think about this, The shoes sell from 6-7 grand all the way up to 15-16 grand. Now, If the shoes without the power laces are that much, they must either devalue the 2011 Mags so that they can put the price for power laced sneakers at around the same price as the mags are now or risk making the mag 2016s the same value or having to make the mag 2016 20-40 grand which would be outrageous because people already were complaining and could barely afford the nike mag 2011 so to raise the price so much for self tying shoes would create a backlash like the pepsi perfect thing, but there problem was mostly quantity, not value.

If so, after you have finished and completed, let us know the price it would take for you to do another one!

The reason why the knockoff makers don't bother with accurate electronics is because it's less profit for them.

It's much easier to sell cheaply made than bother with more complicated parts.

The Chinese need to reverse engineer the shoe and start showing videos of their new product. I guess their idea is to build some hype, but this has become a TV movie of the week or Tee shirt at best. They need to move on and actually do something new if they actually want to sell any of these.

Yeah.. atleast make one or two pairs or something.. seems like they all use the same pair of RDs, the box and pamphlet look beat up already

Oh I know there isn't any real pics haha. I have less than Zero hope for a new version in the next, lets say, two weeks LOL. I just wanted to see what they would tell me. Nike gave the gift of actual patterns and a version of the wiring setup to the world, the only thing they DIDN'T do was put a "You're Welcome" sign on it and email it to the knockoff factories. I know I would have jumped right into reworking the V2 design if I worked there (but sadly the people who are in charge over there only care for $$$ and not accuracy to the very thing they are replicating)

You could say modders took advantage of newbies if they didn't share their work, infos, fails and tutorial.
This is a great community and this kind of accusation is not a good start.

There is not point them going to anyone else without a definitive reference. If they turn out to be better than the V2s, then it becomes a case of working out who actually wants them and paying the other members back.

Exactly. I don't work for free. I document everything here including my fails so others can learn what NOT to do. However I will also do "trades" for goods and or services from time to time.

I have a pair of 11s that were sent to me so I could remove the yellow soles, make master parts and then a mold and cast clears. In this case, it is trade deal which is win win for both of us. I didn't have to buy V2s in a size I can't wear, and he gets a set of clears fitted to his shoes.
