So it was a couple of steps.
1. First up I popped out the heel cup from its inside mount and glued it over the midsole. It was still attached to the cloth at the top, so it has pulled the upper vertical reducing the forward lean which dates back to the original MP MAG. You must be careful to keep both shoes the same height. This is one point airair wanted to correct.
2. then I applied new grey rubber to cover the MAG letters (you need a vacuum chamber for this work, though some of it was done with out vacuuming first) and build up the shape. Because I tinted my rubber light grey, I also covered the mid-sole as well to blend it all in. Yeah it is a bit rough, and it is interesting making a liquid turning gel stick to a vertical surface.
3. I made and used a template and dremil to then shape both heel cups to be the same size and shape before applying a final coat of rubber to bring back the shine. When cured in open air, the surface comes out really smooth.
4. The splatter is also rubber made from an aqua tint mix and applied in gel state. It bonds and once cured, can not be easily removed.
It is all UV stable and has a shore of A65 now.
I worked out before I began I would gain at least 1/4" in height here by reducing the back of the mid-sole. It would be nicer if a larger version was released that could be molded and cast and then simply replaced the original part. Cloneprops never released the file. Even if he took the letters off would be cool as they can always be added on later anyway.
4. cast new larger letters using the same aqua tint and glue them on. I also make white NIKE for the top parts.
Looks like it is re-wire time

and you might as well put EL in there. As airair said, this happens to V2s as well. It happened to my V2s after about a week.
There is a tutorial on gluing normal shoes. MAGs are not "normal" shoes. Use a hot air gun and I found a wooden popsical stick (you buy these clean at cheap shops for about $2.00 for a 50 pack) is best. The wooden stick does not get hot like a metal knife or spoon does, so you can leave it in there and keep heating and pushing it through. Full sole removal takes about 2 hours. You will only need to pop the wing on the outer side.
