Yeah good luck with that. I was not 100% happy with the tongue extensions I did because they sat a little too high, so ripped them out and re-did them. To attach them to sit lower required me to cut the original tongue and sew to that. An operation I was more than a little nervous about, especially after seeing that ripped toe and learning that the re-sellers are currently out of stock of new shoes.

Anyway, here is one done. I will get the other one finished later (tonight?).

Looks good man

2nd shoe is still not done. What I did differently was to also sew the new upper part of the tongue to the original upper. They looked really good as a display pair but as soon as wore them, the new tongues pulled up becoming too high. Hopefully this new version takes me somewhere between the factory original and what I had before.

Finished off the 2nd tongue tonight and I am happy with the end result.

It is only about 1/2" lower than the previous attempt, but I think it makes a huge difference especially with the MAGs on my feet.

nice! How'd you sew that edging on, at the top of the tongue, with a machine or by hand? I've been meaning to put higher tongues for mine too. Had the material for months but havent done it yet lol

All hand stitched on that pair.

I took a pair to a local cobbler and he would not do the job and suggested that I take it to the dry cleaners who have a seamstress. She didn't want to do the job because she said the edging ribbon would pucker on the bends. So I put on a good CD and did it myself :) Yeah probably could be better/neater, but hey it has done the job and looks good to me.

Grey and black v2's are back in stock with Karin Chen on aliexpress, she just emailed me, all sizes which they do them in are available.

cavx I think you need to put your MAG's on a diet. They have a bit of a muffintop going on. ;)

^ I've been thinking of making a black Nike Footwear tee, 70% of people in my area wear Nike clothing so I doubt they'd know its bttf related. Even when I wear my 2015 jacket people ask "is that a Michael Jackson jacket?" Haha

Any chance you could do this?

Ah, that explains it. I knew that method isn't an accurate fix.

If it meant not having to cut up the shoe than that methods suits me fine. To be truly 'accurate" means to re-move the toe box altogether as airair did on one of his pairs.

Size of the shoes and how slim you want the toe all have a bearing on the final out come. I have US8s and they came out very close to RD shape because the toe is short.
My US9.5s were probably a bit overdone but I did not like the look when done the same as the US8s due to their slightly longer toe.
I have a pair of US13 here that I am modding and they won't need much at all to get their toe slim due to the ratio of length to bulge.

I simply would not go as heavy handed on the next pair, rather just use enough heat to take the boot look away. I might even be able to change this pair given these have become my experimentation pair anyway.

This was my first attempt at the tee with Tulip brand slick paint, I have a hard time trying to figure out how to apply fabric paints to dark fabrics, (this was about 4 layers just to get a hint of the color to show :wacko)
$3 shirt and $3 paint so it wasn't such a loss, plus I can use the paint for other stuff too lol. If I can find the right shade of yellow that can work on dark colored tees then I'll have a better turnout on the next attempt :thumbsup. I do have a screen printer of my own, so I might hit up some screening shops and ask for tips and such, or just some Googling to find some screening forums to find out which paints to use on black tees. btw, awesome McFly house pic!

Edit: "Please excuse the crudity of this model" This was a template I cut by hand and not screen printed
