Its quite a tricky thing to do the lettering as its a unique set of letters. Cloneprops did a great job on the lettering, I think he did his by hand in Clay before he did his mould.
Diecut in rubber should come out great.
My guess is superglue should work great on glueing these decals to the rubber heel depending on how thick/heavy these decals are. If they are a soft shore hardness then it should be relatively straight forward I would think.
I don't think he was out to embarrass anyone. He was just stating what is obvious to those of us that have been working on these shoes for a while now. The other image above is of a HC shoe with foam letters on the heel cup.
Three sure ways of picking the real deal is the height of the back of the heel under the cup (it is very low) and the outrigger soles (the get wider at the base) and the size of the letters (even the V2 is too small here). None of the any of the knockoffs so far got these things right yet.
