Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

To add to that, and this goes against the way I normally think, but I appreciate that these replicas are still somewhat exclusive. The wow factor I get when people see them in person is totally worth it. And that's a reaction you wouldn't get if they were in fact available at every Footlocker. And I'm not just talking about the price point, I'm talking about the process of acquiring them.

Agreed. A higher than "most will pay" price point means that the market will never saturate.

Do you guys think an Emory board has a fine enough grit to use on the heal bubble?

I would wait and see what you get. As I stated in my video, I don't think I need to mod the bubble (dim the lights?) as it is nicely frosted and can still see 12 LEDs.

I was going to do it to my first pair that I wear. I just don't want to jack them up. Did anyone make a how to video?

I have been super impressed with how these shoes came right out of the box. To me, apart from the sock toe, there is nothing to mod. They are just perfect the way they are for display. It will be interesting to see how it goes when I do get around to wearing them.

Yep, we'll all get that to one extent or another. I even got it with the V2's. :D

It comes down to supply and demand. NIKE will NEVER release the MAG as a consumer product. In 2011, they made and sold 1500 pair and got as much as they could with an auction which raised just under $5M (that was later matched by eBAY). In 2016, they made a power laced version and sold just 89 pair via a lottery. I do think the lottery was more fair as it gave more people a chance to own these shoes.

My point being, you will NEVER walk into FOOTLOCKER or some high end sports shoe shop and see these on a shelf.

So as fans of the film and this shoe, we have NO CHOICE but to buy replicas out of China. After the games in 2008, the Chinese learned something that radically changed their way doing business with the west - make smaller runs of a better quality product and the west will pay more for them.

This is WHY we are paying $499 for a replica of the NIKE MAG. Do we want to pay that? Of course not. If we could get these for $200, those of use that bought these should would have bought 2 and 3 pair. When I visited China in 2010, I was shocked to see the prices of items in shops were the same as what we pay in our shops. At the time of my visit, 2500 Yuan (RMB) was about $480 Australian. An item costing $60 in Australia was 280Yuan. After dollar conversion, it was not much cheaper to buy in retail there.

The prices we pay online would be the same as retail there, except as I mentioned. you won't find these in any shop.

If you want to care for your customers sell this shoes cheapest and fix the scratch or damage to see...

What I got was 2000 grit sandpaper from home depot and then sanded them down for about 15-20 mins each, then I got some automotive clear coat, sprayed it a little container and then brushed it on.

But I will be purchasing LED boards from jjdelp soon. I like how much dimmer his are and looked almost identical to the RDs.

This is the cheapest they are going to sell them for a while, so either buy them now or stop complaining. You're not going to change anything by doing so
