I ordered a pair shortly after Mitas in a UK 6 / US 7. I contacted David & he has said to hold on for a few more days as the US 7 will be ready soon.

I have also asked for photos of the shoes when they are being made. I shall update you all when I get more information.

I was able to use my card after I used the discount code. Every other time it was denied. The best theory was that their system doesn't take orders after a certain dollar amount and the discount makes your purchase low enough for that threshold.

I truly hope that these are real. There are definitely several pairs and it seems as though they have undergone certain fixes (LEDs in the correct pattern, etc). I want a pair or two as well.

I'm still getting my head around the whole story here. So David is the designer? He is not the guy actually making the shoes right? He created a prototype and is probably overseeing production?

Who is actually making these and are these being made in a factory somewhere in China?

That is a very good point. Give them time, and they will be all over Ebay. Problem is, people get ripped a huge one over HCs (didn't a pair go for like 3 grand recently) and V2s, so imagine the crap storm that will happen once these hit the site. Apart from the whitish clear soles, these are so close to the 2011 MAG, not many people are going to spot the difference.

I can see people making up super detailed descriptions claiming they are real and only providing specific pictures to not show areas that are semi inaccurate. Or you may even spot ones that mention the normal clear midsoles and try to pass them off as if they were rare prototypes or something. Wouldn't be surprising. Be on the watch.

The collar, ankle buckle and strap should be the best tells on these, i think the real prototype had a visible wire in the strap, but they fixed it on the official release version. I hope there is a big run from David and we can all get them before they sell on the bay 5 fold

The images in the first link are 2011 MAGs, Image 8 is definitely NOT not this 2016 REP.

Links please. The video of the girl wearing those shoes (in the video above) that are way too big for her (hope she has socks on) are David's shoes. That is not GITD. It is EL. She is trying to cup her hands around it to allow the light to be seen. EL is not bright like LEDs, there is no hot spots on a camera CCD, so any direct light like the flash on a camera will wash it out. We make EL bright on our V2 mods with 9V. These are running a 3.7V (?) phone battery, so it is what it is.

As for the price, I've said since the beginning these would only go up once resellers got their hands on them. I'm pretty sure the said $629 (or $599 on special) is when you buy direct off David.

It looks like the fabric is the same as the V2s. This does not look like the fine mesh shown on the original prototype.

Does anyone else find it odd that the Youtube review from Nivek is the same shoe that "David" has shown in his factory photos?... Look as the splatter on the right shoe. It's the same. I'm not saying that Nivek is lying but I think David sent this shoe to him. The left shoe looks different that the other factory shoe.

The mods also deleted the post calling them out on their BS. if you dont believe me go to reddit repsneakers on the desktop site and look on the right hand side and see who 2 of the moderators are. Is it the same pair of shoes that both are showing? and when everyone gets their shoes will it be bait and switch ? Im hoping not but for 600 bucks I would wait to order until a respected member of this board gets a pair and not a moderator from repsneakers who is in Davids pocket.

Yes, the two first people who got these shoes are moderators of the sub. We have a pretty close relationship with David, we both love the MAG's and when he told us about them we purchased them in order to show them off as best as possible.

We both received a $50 discount and free shipping in order to review them, that's it, they weren't sent for free, they were paid for by us and sent to us by David. We received them first because like you, everyone is a little skeptical to drop 600 on shoes, so we thought some reviews would help you guys out. If there's any specific angle or anything you wish to see, i'm more then happy to include tagged photos. These shoes exist, they are real, and if you have ordered them, you will receive them.

Shipping delay's are a very real thing with this kinda stuff, expect up to 1-2 weeks delay, thats just the nature of it, however if you paid, you will get your shoes. I have ordered a US13 and Rebecca Su emailed me back last night and said they should ship by the end of this week. I responded and said that once I receive them I will post on therpf and let everyone here know that this is real and that members would be placing orders like crazy. So hopefully I will see them soon and put everyone's hesitation to rest.
