ye karin chen came back to me aswel and ordered straight away just got to find a small inverter for the el light up straps i bought from who45 and the shoes will be complete;D finally the long wait for these shoes are coming to an end

We are in the same boat then. Need to find a small inverter for who45s straps too. Is there a UK based solution for this or does it mean importing ?

yeah to the new users looking for mags I recommended jason because ive bought stuff from him before and hes trustworthy, but since he takes western union, users that have never done business with him have been using aliexpress altho i prefer jason

use whatever works best for you, sucks that karin hasnt been able to get those orders out yet

lol same, might get some bruin look-alikes before mags.. expensive as hell and I don't even have nearly enough money to pay someone to mod the mags

So I took everyone's advice and purchased the Mags from Karin. I paid for them nearly a week ago (5 days ago) but no time estimate of shipment. Hoping for the best. I would like to recieve them by Saturday here in NY to perhaps start the modifications. What has been the best method to reducing the toe box?

I ordered from Karin as well. Had to opt for the bank transfer method of payment last Thursday and she confirmed my order's status as awaiting shipment this morning. She has great seller communication, which has been a rarity in my past online purchases, and I trust both our orders are in good hands.

I found this thread through a random Google search after discovering quality fake Mags even existed. I work in shoe retail and I was searching for convincing Yeezy 2 fakes to put on our salesfloor wall as an April Fool's Day joke. I instead found some fake Mags for $500 and, after some digging, found this thread along with Karin's link. As stated above, I ordered a pair and completely forgot about that prank idea.

Just wanted to thank you guys and the rep. community as a whole for putting actual effort into a more accessible Mag. I remember that teaser vid back in 2011 where they all light up and the ensuing crushing disappointment when the Mags went straight to Resell Hell on ebay. I supported the cause but I was still scorned.

I actually ended up designing my own pair of sneakers after the Mag auctions. I had a tech pack made for them and handcrafted my own prototypes. I'll find a better place to post about them but I'll add some pictures to my profile if anyone is interested.

Thanks again, guys. I'll detail the rest of my order with Karin in case someone else finds this thread and is on the fence about ordering.

Haha! Yep, I was taling about the RDs!

Unfortunately the smallest size the knock-offs come in is a US 8 / UK 7 which I found to be about a half-size bigger than what I would consider to be true to size. They may be a tad big on you but nothing an insole wont fix!

It's all in the eye of the beholder. Personally, if I couldn't mod these to be accurate, I wouldn't want them.

Others think they look as good or better than the original prop shoes...

I agree with you, if I kept my V2s I would've modded them by now & in my eyes they go from being quite an ugly shoe to fairly attractive & something I would consider wearing after the modifications. However, I wouldn't say they look better than the original prop shoes, there is something about them that V2s just don't capture & it's very apparent when you have a look at the RDs.

When I first received my V2s I was uber excited at the prospect of owning something I had longed for since I was a child, but even with the AMAZING modifications you guys have done, they will always fall short for me which is why I bit the bullet & bought the RDs.

From the moment I opened the box I felt what I felt as a kid watching the second movie. The proportions, quality, attention to detail, absolutely everything. But I guess that's the difference between a shoe you would be scared to breath on created after 6 years of R&D by Tinker Hatfield & his team & a reproduction from China that you would quite happily wear around & it not be a total loss if someone stepped on them.

If only the factory making the V2s got a real pair and reverse engineered it. We would have pretty much a perfect shoe. Except a few quality issues seeing as they would still be knockoffs.

If i was a die-hard collector, i'd shoot for the real deal, but since I like having cool things for the fraction of the "pro" stuff, i'm down to try.

Same for me. Took 6 days from placing the order to arriving at my house in the USA. Crazy fast shipping and a decent savings over ordering from Karin.

I haven't had a chance to check them out yet.

Ebay, el wirecraft, theres a few places depending on what power source you want to use, 3v or 9v. El does a 9v, or aa battery one with a push button switch, and a coin cell one with push button switch.
Email dave at el wirecraft for a coincell one as ots the ,ost portable one but battery wont be as good as the others for life i expect
