Mark Poon is a member here on the rpf who sells a different version of the mags made by a retired shoe maker. Nothing to do with the china V1 or V2.

Again, thank you for making them possible. I just hope now that everyone that said they would buy your kits (from traditional casting methods) puts their money where their mouth is and buys these 3D printed parts. The quality is exceptional and these Ankle Buckles can be used on the shoe as they are.



As I discovered, there are several different types of silicone and therefore there would be a suitable one for this task. What I did notice with the first test was that where my OC80A clear soles slipped on the tiles, the silicone had excellent grip. I am a more than a little excited about this.

How strong is the cured bath silicone?
If it's not easy to rip and stronger than shoe goo this is a great idea

It seems to be strong so long as it is applied as thick as 2mm. At less than that, it is very stretchy and may rip.

A double layer of white vinyl is what the RD and many customs use.

I know!!! It's crazy all of the pairs that had been sold for more than a $1000! This is disgusting o_o

Might have some good news. I have an overlocker but have never used it because I didn't know how to thread the thing. Anyway, today I caught up with my Aunt who was a professional seamtress and she showed me on her machines how to use one. If this works on the mesh, I will be able to offer uppers but ONLY if I can machine sew them. No way am I going to hand sew for anyone.
